New member. Meet, Ogo! My first dragon.

Hey everyone,

I've just purchased my first bearded dragon about a month ago. His name is Ogo. He is 6 inches nose to the tip of his tail. So he was definitely just hatched when I bought him. Nice to be apart of something good. I've collectively read about 40 hours worth from this site alone. I'm fairly educated on how to take care of my little guy. I've spoiled him stupid with over $1500 of supplies. $350 of that was spent on his reptisun led uvb terrarium hood that finally just came in.

I'm 21 years old, from Canada. This will be my first lizard, but I treat em like he's my baby boy!

I hope to get some insight or just hello's from some of you guys. I've seen some names consistently through out some of he forums on here. You guys rule.

Here's a photo of Ogo. I'll start with just one for now. The one and only question I have. More just for clarification. Is what type of beardie do you guys think he is? I'm stuck between pogona vitticeps or pogona henrylowsi..

He's doing awesome. Only issues I'm having are some days he'll only eat as many as 4 crickets. And that's after offering 3 times a day. Little guys stress marks disappear after being hansel led for a few minutes. I only handle em for a few minutes every 3 or 4 days right now cause I know some say it's best to not hold them at all. My instinct tells me he enjoys it in moderation though. I'm slowly training him. I love the little guy. Can't wait for him to grow some more

Yeah, I got my new guy a few months ago and I was always so scared to hold him for more than a few minutes at a time. I didn't want to stress him out, plus I was afraid he'd jump from my hands since he's so quick. But yeah, i'm excited for mine to grow more too! Then I won't have to worry about him being AS fragile, and I'll be able to let him roam around the house without being so worried that he'll get lost. I'm glad he's doing good

That's so awesome. Your little guy must only be a little bit older then mine! I have the same feels about Ogo being fragile. It'll be great once he's fully grown. What's your dragons name, mother of dragons

His name is Milo! He's about 8 months old but he's only 9" I got him a new, more powerful UVB bulb and some crickets to try and get him to grow more. He stopped eating for a couple of weeks because we moved and it stressed him out. Just got him to start eating daily again recently!

Ah no way that's a bummer! Although, depending on what type of dragon he is, he may only grow to be 12 inches or so. Different types vary in max lengths! Milo is a sweet name. It reminds me of that dog Jim Carrey has in the movie The Mask, lol

He's definitely starting to fatten up, we'll see! LOL I forgot about that movie, I haven't watched it in forever!
