New here too....

Hi All, well, we have 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat, and now have a new addition. We've named him Rockie and he's about 12 inches right now (or 14 inches if you include the approx 2 inches he's missing off his tail). (about 6 months old?)

We were planning on waiting for the Reptile Show which will be here in 2 weeks, but we happened upon this guy just after he was returned to our local petstore because his owners couldn't take care of him anymore. The whole family fell in love with his personality right away!
This site has been wonderful! So glad I found it and it's wealth of information!
I've noticed a dislike of sand as substrate here, I'll look into other options at the Reptile show....although I have noticed he will not eat any veggie or fruit that falls in the sand-that's a good thing!

Hi! It looks to me that he has more than 2 inches missing from his tail, beardies' tails are usually longer than their bodies. He could be almost fully grown.

The more pictures I see and the more I look at him, I'm starting to think that too - he goes for a vet check on Monday and will hopefully know more then - no matter what his age, we love him - even though he's grumpy today :x
