I am going to get a new bearded dragon in about 2 months. I am getting all the supplies now and learning everything I can. I will be getting my bearded dragon from kijiji because there is not a rescue in my area. I know not to use sand for substrate I will be using either tile or reptile carpet. I am getting a 40 gallon with mesh lid and I have a left over strip light for the uvb light. I look forward to learning about these wonderful animals. I did have a bearded dragon in the past so I know the general care.

You'll find a wealth of info on this forum, browse the subforums + you'll see where to ask about feeding, enclosures, health concerns , etc. Everyone always likes to see pics of the new arrivals.

Welcome to the forum! Is your UVB fixture a T5 or a T8? The more modern T5 fixtures are recommended over the T8 due to their increased output and the greater longevity of the bulbs. Well worth investing in one if you haven't already.
