No the hood is fine --- its the bulb you want -- I am not sure why his food is not digesting like it should - w/ the temps at 97 you would think it would be -- lets see what happens w/ the digestion after you get that UVB situated

So I have an update: As said before, he's randomly started to poop undigested so I'm working on getting him a Reptisun UVB. His poop from today was something new - slimy.
I'm guessing he pooped twice today, but I wasn't home to see for sure. The poop didn't smell aweful, so I'm not sure if I should be worried about parasites? Also, I reread the care guides on here and noticed that its written that Calcium supplement with vitD should be given 7x a week, while multivit should be 3 days for a juvenile. My current schedule is calcium with no vitD 5x a week and mjltivit 2x a week. Which schedule is more accurate?
Well from Brandons advice its only to be given 5 times per feeding -- this is what he had posted
5x calcium a week 2x multi. So I know I gave mine calcium 5 x per week once per feeding and the vitamins 2 x per week once per feeding -- then when he got older 1 year I started giving calcium D3 2 times per week and calcium w/ out D3 NO phosphorous 3 times per week still doing the vitamins 2 x per week - if your dragon is eating salads religiously then you can cut the vitamins -- hes gonna get his nutrients thru them but I have one that is really stubborn and does not eat veggies all the time --
what is he eating?

So he's under 1 year and I feed him 2 times per day with a snack in the middle, would I be giving him calcium with no d3 both times? I would do this 5x per week, and same with multivit but 2x a week?
Hes beeb eating a salad of collard greens, red peppers, and a little celery for hydration. Sometimes I give him copped up blueberries for a treat. As a snack I give a few dubias or supers throughout the day and 2 hrs before lights out he gets supers and dubias which are dusted with calc during the week and multivit on the weekends.
Update: The undigested poo has gotten better, I decided to knock out the superworms as well as the celery like Karrie recommended. It is still slightly undigested, a lot better tho. Im gonna get the Reptisun 10.0 18" T8 in the coming days, I wasn't able to earlier. If I get that exact one, should I mount it above or underneath the screen top? I know theres a difference between T5 and T8 so I wanna know for sure.
T 8 needs to go into the tank w/ NO clear plastic cover over the bulb - distance needs to be 6-8 inches directly above basking decor --- what have you been using for a UVB? this has a lot to do w/ the poops - if he has undigested food coming out you want to up your basking temp
