Hey guys! My boyfriend and I adopted our first beardie about a week ago. She's doing well, except she's still not eating well. Maybe only a couple crickets a day and no salads. Maybe it's because she just shed yesterday? I have no idea.
Anyway, I was curious about the temps I have for her. Her basking spot is on a log and the surface temp is anywhere between 100-115. I know the cutoff should be 110 for a juvenile but I figured it should be okay since it's only 115 at the hottest part of the light and it's a log so she can't technically be burned, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong; constructive criticism is very welcome! I want her to be as comfortable as possible.
Here's a run down of her viv temps:
Basking (surface): 100-115 F
Basking (air temp): Mid-80s
Cool side: Mid-to-high 70s
She also has a linear ReptiSun 10.0 UVB bulb, which I have read are fantastic for beardies.
Pretty much what I'm asking here are if the temps are in the range they should be. Also, If anybody has any suggestions or tips for lighting, temps, or maybe getting her to eat more or something, I'd VERY greatly appreciate it!! Sorry if I sound super nooby and if I'm rambling, but I'm still learning Thanks!
