New Beardie in the house.

Just brought home a new beardie (at my daughters request). It is our first juvenile beardie (our last we got as an adult) so our first adventure with a youngster. No much idea on age (but it is pretty small - I would not be shocked to find out it is only 2-3 months old. So far it is very active and eating well. We are doing lots of reading on keeping a juvenile, but wanted to give a quick introduction (and a picture or two). We have not settled on a name yet, but right now Ember seems to be winning the name game.

As a general question - can we tell at all what the coloring will be like as an adult? Do they typically get lighter, darker or just wait and see? (we were not able to see the parents)

Congrats on your new addition! Adorable little dragon. I am currently raising my first beardie, her name is Hemi, she was a Petsmart baby so I didn't get to see her parents either. But your dragons coloring is very close to Hemi's when she was that size. The older she gets she has the most vibrant beautiful orange. You can see her pics under Beardie tales A day in the life of Hemi a loved dragon. If yours grows to be like Hemi she will take your breath away. The pictures never show just how bright her colors are. A friend seems to think she is a citrus tiger and I am agreeing. Whatever your sweet baby turns out to be I am sure you will love her more everyday. Congrats
