New beardie/enclosure Advice Needed!!!

Hey, new beardie owner here and I wanted some input on my setup for my new dragon. His basking spot gets to around 104 give or take and the hot side is around 90-95 with the cool side around 78-80. His humidity on the basking side is usually around 30% or lower and on the cool side it sits around 40%-50%. Here is a picture of the setup any advice is appreciated I want him to grow nice and healthy! He also has not eaten or pooped since i bought him 2 days ago. The uvb bulb is a 10.0 something, is he too close to that bulb, its about 6 inch away? And is the basking spot fine he seems to enjoy the hammock close to the uvb. Let me know!! Open to change!

That looks pretty good. Do you know if the UVB bulb is a T5 or T8 size? The outputs are different (T5 is stronger) so that affects optimal distance. Using a reflector also affects the optimal distance.

You might want to replace the mesh hammock with something that doesn't have small holes in it (fleece works well). Sometimes they can get their nails caught in the hammock holes and twist their toes. Otherwise your layout looks good.

Im pretty sure it is a T5 does that change whether or not he is too close to that uvb? Its reptisun bulb. It also has a reflector.

A T5 with a reflector should sit about 12'' or so above the main basking area. That said, it's OK to allow a branch or similar to give him access to closer if he wants it. I would consider the top half of the log as the main basking area so that is what should be (roughly) 12'' away from the bulb. Not a huge deal if it's a little closer or a little further. Since you have a lot of different options available with regard to distance and shade areas I wouldn't worry about it too much since he can sense and move away to low UVB areas if he wants to.

Overall the tank looks nice & he should love the T5. Just the few adjustments as Cooper
mentioned to be sure the light isn't too close to him should be just fine!
They are very instinctive so they will adjust their distance to the UVB light when they want to.
