New baby, yellow fungus?

Bought my boys this cute little guy for Christmas. Noticed discolored places on him, especially around the vent. I am new to reptiles and thought it might be from shedding since he had a few places where he shed some skin after we got him. I'm a nurse though and it kept nagging at me so I started doing some research tonight. There are a few spots on his belly too. I bought him from Petco and yes I know that's never a good idea! I'm thinking if it's fungus I'm going to return him. What do you guys think from looking at them?

Hello,

It does appear to be fungal I am afraid.
I highly recommend starting daily betadine (diluted to look like weak tea), daily.
You can get some anti-fungal cream such as lamisil or monistat to apply to the affected areas, daily.

Are you using loose substrate or a solid substrate?
Also, I would recommend using a probiotic to help with balancing out the system. Some good ones are benebac (found in the cat section in pet stores), acidophiliz non dairy or non dairy soy yogurt.
