New Baby Girl!

They do take some time to get used to the harnesses but they will. Make sure it's nice and snug. I haven't put post up for the "drag-a-longs" yet but my daughter is busy making more!

Seriously, they are great harnesses! Nice touch with the tag and everything. Though the charms fell off somewhere in my yard right away It's ok, he's a boy, and I think it was a ladybug or something. LOL.

She's even pissier today. She had one eye closed most the day, not sure why. Seems ok when it's open, though. But she is seriously trying to chomp on me lol. I think I should just pet her when I try to feed, cuz then she suddenly seems ok with it, and even to enjoy being touched around the ears. Kind of strange, is this normal with babies? My first was not like it at all, and would even come TO my fingers as a baby. She doesn't seem frightened at all, though, it's obviously a grumpy thing. So I'm sure it'll pass.

I'm sure temperaments vary from baby to baby. My baby still likes to bite but he's already making improvements. Grin and bare it. It gets better.

I think it's just her way of letting you know that it's her territory now. I can take a bunch of perfectly calm babies and re-group them into a new "looking" tank and watch them arm wave and run around establishing a pecking order and then they all calm down. It's always going to take new babies a week or so to adjust. And I don't think babies thoroughly enjoy being stroked the way adults do.

Akk there was a point where my daughter and I debated over wether or not to crimp the end cap down so the charm wouldn't fall off and she thought they would look ugly but it was the first batch. Product development lesson number one for the teenage business mogul!

ARGH!!! I just got home from a little break, had put her out in sun, bathed her, got her some great food.... and somehow she is not in her tank when I got back!!!! I didn't notice that there was a crack in the sliding glass doors. It must've been just enough for her to get out I guess. I'm so distraught I have two cats, one is predatory. I'm taking everything apart looking for her to no avail so far. I'm just sick to my stomach. Dammit. I've never ever had this happen. No sign anywhere.I don't get it.

Keep looking for her! Watch the cats behavior. If you find her alive than check her for wounds disinfect them thoroughly. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Thanks... I am watching my young teenage kitty. Though there are loose crickets, so hard to tell what's going on. Whew, just got on the ground, moved my bed, everything under it, all the books under the tank shelves, and took a flashlight all over. Kind of like a needle in a haystack. Was hoping I could find her while she is sleeping wherever she is (if she's ok!). They're fast, so I imagine if the cat got her, I would've seen it. Ugh, next step is my closet I guess, which is a holy mess, but good reason to get to cleaning it. I don't want to give up. Maybe I should try to stay up all night and just watch the cats....

Maybe lock the cats in the bathroom just in case. The babies do usually go to a corner to hide and be safe... Let us know... But don't stress too much she will come out.

Well hopefully you read this and are relieved, and laugh at my ass.... she was in between these fake palm leaves in the tank. Completely hidden! WHEW!!!!!!! So she's fine. I'm fine. I need another drink though ha ha! Dang. Too much furniture for a little baby!! LOL! Well, I can sleep now : ) I feel like an *****, but at least she's safe!

Yeah, that's the problem when they are SO little, and sleep SO soundly LOL. I moved that damn tree several times, didn't even rouse her. I should've known, because I am VERY careful about closing the sliding doors all the way, if anything to keep those little crickets in! ha ha.
She's growing, and the eye problem is fine now. Finally shed, and is eating crickets and her greens well, too. Funny how she gets all pissy with me and opens her mouth and hisses, then other times, she's completely fine with my finger and gets on, lets me scratch her ears. Weird. Guess she has to be in the mood lol. She's not afraid, like my last guy seemed to be. Just "pissy". I think she's figuring out that my fingers bring yummy food.
Funny to watch her with crickets. I think she's gonna be a lazy one. She'll get all stalky, and lift a leg, and miss a lot. Then she gives up. Doesn't rapidly go after them all like a lot of babies do. She prefers worms, so I'm gonna have to get those, and maybe start a roach colony. Pixel the Diva ; )

She's growing FAST! Getting more colorful. Alas, however, she just shed, and suddenly today she is a MEAN little fart. I mean full on flaring, charging at me, and biting down hard What the heck??? She's been a pistol, but nothing like that, and she's even been just fine with me picking her up. Now I want to wear gloves! She's at least twice as big, and the bite is going to sting I'm sure. Should I just leave her be, or keep getting her used to me. Ironically it took me that whole year to get my last guy to not be leery of my hand. He was more afraid, she's just like...pissed off LOL.
I'll take a pic soon, show her orange/red colors. Looks like it'll have some green maybe too.
