New 100 gallon is up! 2 UVB ok?

So we have the new 100 gallon up for Rocko and he's doing great so far! Eating fine but a little on the cool side and high humidity. We went ahead and removed 1/2 the alfalfa pellets which helped and plan to use papertowels for now up right there. The other is for digging.
Heating I have a new 100 watt heat bulb and his 100 watt CHE going under his basking but it's still only readying 95-97.. think if I get a 150 I can take the CHE away? We moved his high branch and now he's 9 inches from the heat lamps.

Also.. I have the largest UVB repti tube but the furthest edge is still 20 inches from his basking. Can I do my other UVB from his 30 gallon tank on his basking side and basically have 2 going?? My electricity bill I can only imagine.. but he's cute so I don't mind. :lol:

My 11 year old and I refinished the wood so the doors aren't on yet.

I bought a new 150W exo terra intense basking spot and it's smelling up my 2700 sq ft house. Smells like a burning sort of smell. The wire top is not hot or anything but the smell is coming directly from the bulb. Do I need to have a larger dome cover for it maybe? It's a rather large bulb.

The bigger flood bulbs do require a bigger dome in general. A "deep dome" works best and helps with the longevity of the bulb.

Also, you're going to have to mount his UVB tubes down inside the tank so he's within 6in of them, or he's not going to get nearly enough UV. I recommend using command hooks. You can have as many as you want in there, but the issue is that the rays just don't reach that far away from the surface of the bulbs themselves, so if they aren't close enough to absorb into their skin, it does no good.

Your tank is pretty. How are you maintaining temps on the cool side?

ok.. so I was running errands all day in thunderstorms for Rocko. LOL

I went to Petsmart twice and ended up with the deep 8.5 dome for the 150 watt and it's doing much better.
I also went to Home depot for an under the counter and the cheapest was $45! But it takes tiny tubes so it's going back. :/ I ended up buying command strips from Target and mounted the hood I have now but it's not that much closer once it's mounted up top.. just 3-4 in. closer.
here it is redone.. 2 heat bulbs.. 150 basking and 100 on the other side keeps it at about 75ish. then reptisun 10 24 inch by basking and previous UVB reptisun 5.0 on other side (this one isn't a long tube but not coiled either.. there are 3 u like pieces?)
Do you think the 24 inch UVB will hit him enough with that cover not allowing the rays to really go 'out' too much? He's about 7 in from it when basking. Otherwise it's still pretty far.
and in case someones wondering, the large dome can't fall through even if it shifts and one side slips.. it's too big. The smaller one is on a mount.

Found the right uvb set up finally! I have his 10 reptisun mounted on the back wall about 6-8 inches from both his basking spots. He seems to be a bit destressed now and his lines on the belly have lightened up.. maybe this was the cause. IDK. But glad he likes his new light!
