Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since I have visited this site as I have been involved in a local campaign to save our park, which has well and truly taken over my life. I just wanted to share a little story to tell you that however bad it may be with your beardie, hang on in there, and never give up hope.
A year ago, my baby Georgie stopped eating and became really ill. The vets couldn't get to the bottom of it until an exploratory operation showed that she had chronic liver disease, at the time she was only one year old. It was thought that the disease was genetic. After loads of treatment and medication, she still wasn't responding, so in January, I decided to stop the medication and just carry on caring for her and syringe feeding her daily. In this time, I still offered her live food, but she just turned her nose up. A week ago, I put a bowl of meal worms in her tank and she attacked them! She ate them as if she had never seen food before! Since then she has gone from strength to strength, devouring all food in her sight! I must say, it is truly a miracle as that little girl has not eaten voluntarily for 13 months.
So, never give up, your baby may just surprise you one day!
