I used to feed IN the bath so it was easy to take a syringe of clean water and just kind of hose his face down. The syringe feeding certainly does get messy.

More active by the day. Green beans were a hit. Chicken and veg seems to be the favorite. Starting to have issues with the Dragon flicking it's head and using its back foot to wipe it's face. Getting baby food all over it's face. Found out some food had dried two of its toes together, so it got a bath today. Meds are a pain. Wish they weren't in a sugary suspension. Not sure how much is swallowed vs spit out. Going to weight it.this weekend and see if there has been growth.

I had to give Tolkein a bath today as well to get rid of the baby food that had dried on her. Her nose was orange from the squash baby food and her beard was green from the green beans  I'm so happy to hear that your little one is feeling some better. Please keep us posted!

Little bugger had a big ol meal today. We are figuring out our cues so he knows its feeding time. Tried feeding him with a tiny cricket in a pair of tongs covered in babyfood. No go. I may try ordering some dubias. He's not as big as the beardie brothers and sisters at the pet shop, but they aren't that far ahead. He's quite the alert little fella. Always cocking his head to see what I am doing I am going to get a gram scale tomorrow. I will update his size after a week. Last Saturday he was 9.6 grams.

I have Reptiworms on the way. He hardly ate sunday and saturday. Came home yesterday and there was skin everywhere. His tail, back, legs, and his head are shedding. Had a huge meal. I also learned never take calcium powder and mix it with green bean and chicken babyfood and put it in a tightly sealed container on a counter for a few hours. I guess green beans or the chicken was a little acidic. I know have babyfood on the ceiling. Back to the ol high school chemistry days calcarbonate+acid= CO2= boom.

Went to feed him tonight. He decided to eat 23 crickets as I'm holding the baby food.....I guess he feels better.

Since Wed Happy has eaten 120 crickets. He is pooping less, looks like he's been inflated by an air pump, but is almost impossible to hold active. These weren't little crickets either. for some reason the petsmart concept of "small" has a wide range. He is an eating machine.

Hello,

Wow, he has gotten a lot better, thank goodness! :D It sounds like he is an eating machine, too that is terrific.
They can be quite a handful can't they, when they are active they constantly want down to run around. I am glad he is feeling so much better now. Great job.

just wanted to bring back an old thread for an update. Happy is the length of my forearm. he now lives in a 130 gal tank. has a steady diet of crickets and dubias. I am currently starting a dubia colony. He is actually a he. spunky, feisty, and will not tolerate being held by me. He does tolerate being held by my daughter, and could spend hours snuggled up on my wifes neck under her hair. It is amusing. If I need to work on the tank, I tell my wife and she moves her hair to one side and put happy on her shoulder. he's fallen asleep on her a few times now. Happy is a great addition to this family. I didn't realize a reptile would have so much personality. He ignores the dog, follows my daughter, and if the cat looks at the tank, he blackbeards and puffs up. The cat could care less. So thanks for all the advice. I had been busy on a facebook group getting advice. I realized they all were a bit crazy after I posted that I used sand as a foundation for a tile floor in the new 130 gal tank. people lost their mind. each tile is 25 pounds. it rests on to of play sand to keep it from fracturing the bottom glass. the tile is cut to exact fit the tank...yet the fact there is sand under all this tile means my beardy is going to get impacted. Cat ladies got nothing on reptile freaks. half tempted to post a pic of me feeding a mealworm to the dragon just to see how many death threats i would receive. At least I have you folks. I am very grateful for getting me through a tough start with a great little friend.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
