NEED ADVISE!

I am getting cuts all over my hands by holding my dragon. I don't really know how old my dragon is but i need help understanding how to cut its nails. I tried to cut his or hers nails before and my dragon didn't like it at all. I will try to post pictures of my dragon but I can only use the computer at work. He or she is at least 12 inches from tip of tail to the nose. I heard about putting a house in his or her cage that has a gritty surface and that will help but i don't know what that looks like. So any1 please post a pic that i can go off of. thanks for your help any bit of helpful info is appreatated...

If you use a rough surfaced tile(like slate)in her viv as a substrate,that will help wear down her nails.If your beardie doesn't like the clippers you could try filing them with an emery board.

WHAT IS VIV? sorry i new to the lingo. also when u say tile are you meaning real tile like you would put on ur kitchen floor?

The vivarium(viv for short) is their enclosure.
Yes. the tile you use on a floor.
Try looking at some of the posted pics in the ENCLOSURE and DIY forums. Many people use tile as their substrate. It has many benefits like ...it looks nice..easy to clean..retains heat..keeps your beardies nails filed(generally in the more active beardies who are running around on the tile).

In one of my beardies' enclosure (tank) I have a large piece of slate in there. Because he is so high energy, he also spring boards off it! It keeps his nails down.. The other two are on repti-carpet and I clip their nails every couple weeks. If you want to clip them, maybe wait until late at night when he/shes sleepy. If you do decide to clip, ONLY clip the very edge of the nail, its very important! Do not clip the nail with skin on it!
