NARBC in Anaheim

Is anyone planning on going to the North America Reptile Breeders Convention in Anaheim Sept. 5th & 6th?

Frank, myself, and Zak-n-Wheezie will be going...We can't go for the entire weekend like we usually do...
I have to many babies in the house this year to depend on someone else to care for while we're gone so we will have to settle for only going on Saturday.

We are going! Gonna make the short trek from Vegas and get my son his tegu there. Yay Maybe even catch a few roller coaster rides.

We talked to lllreptiles in oceanside. They are going to be there and bring some baby tegus. But we are leaving the options open, you never know who you are going to fall in love with We are planning to go on Saturday and then Maybe in the morning on Sunday and then catch a few coaster rides over at the park later in the afternoon on Sunday.

We have gone for the past 3 years. It's a really awesome show...lots of nice reptiles...Though I have managed not to bring any extras home so far. :lol:
We always have a great time.

Wow VegasLizard thats about a 4-5 hour drive! Im curious about the 2 headed beardie I think I saw your video Fresnowitte where it's the oldest two headed beardie so far and hopefully many years to come,good job! I'll be going but only bringing $15 for the admission to get inside and another $50, and that way I wont have enough money to buy another beardie a forceful resistance :mrgreen:

Yah, 4 or 5 hours depending on traffic. But I don't care it's worth it. I am soooo excited. We are leaving Thursday after the kids are done with school and going to make a 4 day trip out of it since Monday is a holiday I can't wait!!! Already made the room reservations. Went to get mice from my favorite pet store over the weekend and the owners said that there is supposed to be a reptile show coming to Vegas in October! Boy, sure am glad we had already decided to go before my husband heard that one.... Woohoo, now I get to go to another on in a couple months. I love da scales!!!

Sorry for this noobish question...but what goes on there? Is it like the "Daytona" show that I keep seeing pics here, where there's people selling all sorts of reptiles? Is it open to the public? I'm not a breeder just a guy that wants to see some beautiful dragons and other reptiles I've never even heard about.

It is open on Saturday and Sunday to the public...if you get a VIP pass then you get more privledges than the general public like going in the night before when vendors are still setting up... If you check out the link I posted there is a page on that site with a few pic's from last year, schedules, vendors...etc... We will be going on Saturday...normally you are not allowed to take outside pets into the show for insurance reasons...I have managed to get by with Zak-n-Wheezie the past few years but I think it's because of their rare unique oddity that we were let in. I would go to the site and find the contact for them and see if you could find out first if it's allowed before taking your beardie.

We are going to go both days. Barb said she was going to be there Saturday. It would be great if we could all meet up on Saturday and take a group pick with us and our beardies. :mrgreen: I have never been to the Anaheim Convention Center before, so I don't have a clue where a good place to find each other would be. But I do know they are having a photo contest, so maybe there there would be tables or something set up to display the pictures?

Perhaps anyone who is going and wants to get together at the show would be willing to exchange cel phone numbers or emails (for those of us with email on our phones) in private pms so we can arrange it once there.

We are staying at a hotel within walking distance so if they turned me away with Scorch I was going to just take her back to the room :roll: IDK what the rule is about bringing your own reptiles in. Barb said she was bringing Z&W, but I am sure they would let them in regardless of what the rules are. :wink:
