Nail polish?!? Help please.

I hardly ever wear nail polish but yesterday for fun painted my finger and toe nails purple. I didn't give it much thought today though while hand feeding Ziggy his collard greens (he's just now 6 months old and 18 1/4 inches long from snout to tail tip). I have to entice him to eat his veggies by waving them around. Anyway, he bit my nail probably thinking it was a grape or something and chipped off a small piece of the nail polish. I've looked all over his enclosure and have concluded that he must have eaten it. It's about a centimeter diameter circle of nail polish that's missing from the finger nail that he bit.

What do I do? Will this hurt him? Have others had their dragon bite their nail polish before? Were there any ill effects? I'll never wear nail polish in front of him again, I'm so worried about my little guy!!! He isn't black bearding or anything. Just being lazy and sunning right now. What should I look out for?

Hi there....he should be fine. Just watch over him the rest of the day, but if he acts lethargic/ black beards, fast breathing then he will need a trip to the vet. You can offer him some water + food to help things move through his digestive tract more quickly, even some canned pumpkin [ no spices ] and veg. oil to move things along. But I think he'll be fine.

Other than giving me a scare, he seems happy and healthy. No ill effects that I have noticed yet and trust me, I've been watching him closely.
