OK so I have been asked a few times for some pictures of my dragon kids. So in line with coming into our family here they are. Bowser our big strong boy who has just decided in the last week he wants to stop being so mad all the time and just sleep it off. He is trying out his first brumation. This is him taking in some rays on the edge of his new back drop in his viv.

Then there is my big girl Willow who is so sweet and so spoiled she is our Buddha girl for sure. Just look at her belly hanging down full of all sorts of good stuff.

Then my first rescue our girl Osira. She is such a doll and being from just brown lines her reptisun has brought out a lot of bright colors of course you cant see in these pictures.
IMAG0115.jpg

Then we have Ash Osiras little sister which I took pictures of but ill have to take more tomorrow I cant find them on my phone.Next we have my brat girl Citrine Pumpkin Jelly she is a brat because she knows how pretty she is and feels like no one has the right to touch her

Next my little boy Ember is a major momma's boy for sure he loves to be held and sit warm up by my neck.
IMAG0108.jpg
he exploded his skin here.

Then we have our boy Kinsey Named by my son on behalf of a good friend of ours. He is becoming more and more like his big brother Ember every day.
IMAG01212.jpg

Then we have my husbands boy Seraph who would be in heaven if all we ever did was hold him. He is our nub since one cricket left in on accident made a huge tail nip on our pour boy.
IMAG0124.jpg

Then we have our newest family members Taggert and Alani a family was not able to keep them and so they came to live with us as well.

Wow that whole roach scam is stupid. Why do people do those things? It makes me angry. I'm sorry you had to lose your money that way. It's awful.

And yes the black beard thing was so freaky! KD always just seems like a big goof, but he's always been on the sweet/innocent side. He has the cutest face, and when he black bearded me it was creepy! LOL. He must've made his belly like, an inch or two wider than it usually is, and then his beard was huge! It wasn't black at first so I reached for him and then it turned black and I pulled my hand back. I was scared he'd bite me! So I kept yelling for my brother to come pick him up (KD is his after all. lol) but of course he was asleep so I had to pick KD up myself  Luckily I have all 10 fingers still so KD didn't bite me :D

I wonder when Fiz will black beard... he's so tiny and quiet so I could never picture him doing that. He's always been a step or two behind KD so if he's anything like KD, he'll show his beard soon! :D

I think all your enclosures are truly amazing.

However, personally I wouldn't risk co-habitation, regardless of how big the enclosure, or how the Beardies are related.

Please have a look at this topic when you have a moment. :)

Captain I agree for sure on them needing to be on there own. Even though I have never had a problem with any of mine. The only reason they are together is because of financial reasons right now. We have not been able to afford the other lights and things we need to do the next vivs at this time. I have been selling crickets right and left to get the next ones done. But what most people wanted was the roaches and when I got ripped off by that guy it messed me up pretty bad. I am hoping maybe in a few weeks ill ne able to make another double viv. But that is also one of the reasons we need to find good home for a few of our rescues. I ended up with five more then I was planning on. So we are trying to for the moment make things work. Thank you for the compliments on our vivs they all seem to like them as well.

wow, that's a bunch of beardie bellies!!!! great job with them!! they all look very happy and healthy, i am very happy they are with someone like you, then sitting in a dingy petshop some place, not getting any attention, food or love. i know it has to be tough keeping up on the lighting and husbandry, i'm trying to sell some things to get tolkien a new reptisun, they are so expensive, and he has an 18 bulb", the smallest size!!! your enclosures are wonderful and all have lovely decorations in them too!!!

Hey do you know if its normal for Beardies to eat their shedded skin? I didnt even know KD was in preshed until i walked into my room and heard crunching  and found KD with his entire belly shed in his mouth just chewing. By the time i got to him he ate the entire thing. He also ate his poop because i spotted it and left to get something to pick it up with and when i came back ot was gone  he is so weird.......

i've heard of beardies eating their shed sometimes, tolkien eat a piece of his once, i think out of curiosity more then anything! now, poo, on the otherhand, thats the first time i've heard of that, but it doesnt surprise me!!! i had a dog that loved eating old poop in the backyard, was the grossest thing ever, you couldnt catch him everytime to stop him though, unfortunately. eating his own shed won't hurt him, but the poo i dont know about. i don't think it would be a good thing, if he had any parasites, etc, and was eating his poo. i guess try to keep him from eating his own poo LOL!!! someone on here probably knows about the poo-thing!!!!

beardies sure know how to confuse us!!!

With a dog eating there poop is a lack of some vitamin in there diet and I think it is the same with beardies. Or he might be in need of more protein in his diet. Some times if they are shedding there body puts all its extra vitamin into them shedding and they just need more food. Sometimes just adding a little extra food to make them extra full will make them stop.

Also I just looked it up and it was said in the wild they will eat there shed and sometimes there poo to cover there tracks so that a predator can not see which way they went. And others said because they are still hungry and need more food. Hope that helps.

Oh yeah my dog eats his poop. Its disgusting. Lol

I wouldnt have even asked if KD had just eaten a little flake of the shed, but he literally pulled it off of himself and ate the entire shed! There was not a piece of shed left in the tank. The poop part is just weird. Lol. But i told my mom and she joked saying that he "cleans up after himself so theres less work for me" lol.

KD must have a bottomless stomach because i gave him a ton of crickets and some green bean and he's still hugry? Theres no way a normal beardie tummy would be hungry after that! Hahah. He's a super beardie like Seraph! Lol.

KD is abnormal lol. Hes sitting in his cave all excited and trying to dig. Hahaha. Ill have to get him a dig box!

It's always different to see as they grow the things that change with them. My first baby was very sweet and loving and then started out of the blue became a total brat and got very very moody. And for the last two weeks has been sleeping almost every day. And I guess for male beardeds its normal for them to be grouchy allot over there lifetime. Every time they come out of brumation I guess they can be down right mean. :( I hope its not true I have five to deal with then.

I sure hope they're not all like that! :( My two are too young to brumate, so I won't have to worry about that for a little while. I could see KD being grouchy and mean, but not my tiny Fiz! :( Fiz is so sweet, but with my luck he'll turn evil! LOL!

that is totally awesome, in a naturally weird way. extremely smart animals they are!!!!
maybe your little one has more of a hard-wired survival instinct in him, some beardies
are more like that than others!!!

i think feeding him more, like others have said, pile on more veggies. i know tolkien on some days can be a bottomless pit lol, and other days he doesnt eat as much. possibly put some vitamin dust on his greens too?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
