My precious Lenny has some spots that I am suspicious of

After a particularly large and gross poo that Lenny traipsed through, I bathed her thoroughly, and while I was drying in between those scaly little toes, I noticed a spot on her back left foot.

I immediately searched for more, and although none look like the foot spot, I found more.

To me, the belly spots look like unshed skin on single scales, but of course I'm terrified it may be yellow fungus or something? This is the first time I've noticed them, but Lenny does hate to be belly-up, so it's not totally unthinkable that they may have been there for a while and I missed them. I use a veterinary chlorhexidine cleaner for the viv, and I even use a 1/100 solution in Lenny's bath every once in a while when she's really dirty. I feel like I do a good job keeping Lenny and the viv clean and dry, but here in central Texas the humidity is outrageous, so I do struggle with that from time to time.

Does anyone have any idea what the spots may be, or should I head hysterically to the vet with my spotted dragon?

Hi Rachel....the individual belly scales being off color is totally normal, I've seen lots of beardies just like that. The spot on Lenny's foot looks like a very small nick, just like we could get a scratch/cut on or hand or foot. Nothing to worry about, it's not yellow fungus.

You could put a dab of neosporin on it and even a small band ad or a piece of gauze + tape but if she can get the bandaid off she might eat it. [ you know how silly dragons swallow anything ] But it should be fine.

Thank You!!! I will put some Neosporin on it, and see about crafting a bandaid. Maybe I'll use a green one, that looks like salad, then she'd be sure NOT to eat it, haha. Thank you again, I and so grateful for the info and advice I find here, I feel like a jumpy new mom every time Lenny looks at me funny...

It's always best to try to find out anything that makes us suspicious.....being proactive is better than being reactive.
