MY NEW (PRINGLE) MICA

Hi everyone.
Well, as some of you know, I have 6 beardies......Ollie, Pyrex, Bella,Lincoln, Gabby, and Scarlett. Not that I need another beardie, :shock: but I've always wanted a "white" one, so I've kept my eyes open for the right beardie. It's difficult to know what a 6" baby will grow up to be, color-wise, even if the parents are leucistic, etc, so I've been hesitant in getting such a small tyke....................
Well........................., I found a 11 month old light colored male, hypo pastel, that I just loved when I saw him, and he should be here on Thursday.
I know I'm insane for getting another beardie, but they're really are like Pringles, you just can't have one,(I hope this is the last one) :wink: ...............I will keep you updated on his arrival.....he is quite the boy!

Hi Christine,
I'll really pray that your b/p goes down, especially if it's genetic. Glad you're staying on top of it. It's the only thing you can do. The stress of moving back, your sister's surgery, taking care of your babies, probably has alot to do with it, too. I'm glad your sister is healing steadily, that's such a positive thing.

I hate brumation, too, even though I'm getting more used to it. I just make sure that if they eat, they have a last poop to empty their digestive tract before any prolonged sleeping. Today only Sweetie & Didi are up, it's raining heavily, so really gloomy outside. We'll see if anyone else gets up today.

I'm glad to hear your sis is recovering from her back surgery.It will take awhile but she'll get there :wink:

Mica looks AWESOME Like already said,try to push more fluids and maybe cut back on the calcium a bit.
I would keep giving him the veggies,since they are so hydrating,as long as he is basking long enough to digest what he has eaten.

I am taking my blood pressure at least 4xdaily, and it's still very high, the Doctor is calling again Monday, to see if there's any difference with the increase in meds, a little frustrating.
Mica is very sleepy, but still basking, so I'm going to give him veggies every other day, I have cut back on the calcium, and he still has no interest in worms or salad. (he's only eaten salad on his own once since I've had him, and only a few bites to boot) Of course, my Ollie didn't eat for over 2 yrs. unless I gave him food with a syringe, so I hope it's not going to be the same with Mica. Being this time of the year, it's hard to tell if it's brumation or not. :?

I wonder what he looked like as a baby?? Chencho is starting to get a VERY pale body so I'm hoping that he'll look like beautiful Mica! How are his urates? Have you tried hornworms or silkworms instead of supers for him? Those are very hydrating feeders, maybe that would help...

Unfortunately, I never saw Mica as a baby, mom was orange/hypo pastel, dad was leucistic......... what is Chencho's lineage?
Mica has a BM so infrequent, he hasn't had one since the last, hasn't eaten either, I'm hoping its just brumation. I have tried horns and silks on my older beardies long ago, I don't know why, but the horns were so big and creepy to me, and the silks were so touchy with their care, I kind of gave up. I raised some roaches before, but I'm limited in what I can do right now, since I'm at my sisters house, so I've been sticking with supers, phoenix, butters, and canned crickets. I was going to try the reptiworms. (another form of phoenix but cheaper)

Hi everyone,
After much thought, I'm going to stop posting on my three topics (unless someone writes a post) and consolidate all my beardies info onto one thread. I don't know why, but I seem overwhelmed with having three sites going at the same time, so hopefully I'll be more faithful with updates. So please, please write a short note on my new thread, so I don't loose my contacts. (my biggest fear)
What would my babies do without their Aunts and Uncles? :wink:
