I picked up my new pooper last night after my little Leopold passed away last week. I got him from a lady who had the better intentions but she just didn't know about proper beardie needs.

He still doesn't have a name, I can't seem to find a name that suits him. Suggestions are welcome!!! On to the pics....

He's an odd one because I was told he was born Sept27 this year, which would make him almost 2 months younger than Leopold but this new guy is easily twice the size! He's already 12 inches!

I didn't get many pictures of him last night because I was letting him settle into his new home. I will get some better pictures of him tomorrow when he's awake. I think this little guy will get really yellow as he matures. He has hints of mustard-yellow on his body and I saw a picture of his parents and his father is sunshine yellow!

Anyway, that's it for now..... Thanks for looking!!!

Thanks guys!! Yes I'm glad he was fed very well that made him so big so fast! He still doesn't have a name though...nothing sounds right!!!
Well there were a few things wrong with how they were being kept. My guy was being kept with another beardie about the same size in a 10 gallon tank. They had no substrate, only being kept on the bare glass tank bottom (which I guess is at least a little better than being kept on sand). For lighting they only had a basking light, but I didn't see anything measuring temps.. They had another 20g long tank with about at least a dozen little poopers in it, all about 5 or 6 inches long and with the same no substrate and poor lighting issue. Also I wouldn't doubt they weren't dusting their food with any vitamins or calcium. Poor poopers!

He is settling in very well! His appetite hasn't shown any signs of slowing down so I'm happy about that!

Haha yes, I would be happy too going from a shared 10 gallon to a 40 breeder on my own ;) He sure seems to be liking the new home. He is eating for me and he has calmed down lots since the first night. I think he is also starting to warm up to me... In the morning I took him out and brought him to bed with me and he would stay still and sleep if I put him on my chest with the covers over him but if I tried to put him beside me on the bed in the soft blanket I had for him, he would not have any of it and definitely wasn't staying still!

I am hoping he gets some really nice yellows at least. I have always wanted a bright yellow dragon!!

Here is a pic of the mom, she isn't as bright but she looks a bit worn out. I'm not sure if she's in shed in this pic or not but here it is

Either way I think he will have some yellow as both his parents were yellow. Woot!!

yea you can tell she might be dark because shes stressed out, look at those stress marks on her belly, i bet she would be brighter if she wasnt so worn out and stressed. maybe he'll give her a break hopfully

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
