My mischievous Bandit

She's the cutest little reptile I've ever seen. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that I would own a beardie. I've always heard negative things about them. Boy, were all the things I've heard wrong... I've learned not to freak out over the small things anymore, that a reptile is a reptile and does as she pleases. I've learned how to properly care for her all because of the wonderful people on this site and I would like to thank you all for all the advice. I bought her when she was around 5 inches.. She's now over 8 I bought her July 24th at a Petsmart near my work.She fell off a tree when we approached the tanks and ran to the glass when I was looking at her. I would say she picked me instead of me picking her I did hours upon hours of research but I made my mistakes especially with those "starter kits" but now I've fixed everything and we are on our road to a healthy, long beautiful life. Bandit's colors are so beautiful! I almost forgot how pretty she was, it seemed like her back was in shed forever! I just love the look on her face too, she's sooo proud to have gotten that skin off, and I bet she's so much more comfortable now! I hope your little baby likes her hornworms, I've never bought any for Doodles.

I know!!! i was starting to get worried about her back. Oh my goodness lets hope she does. Ill record it and post it here so you guys can suffer the oozing guts with me too haha she doesn't run away when poked so that's always a good sign that she's comfy. One of her hands turned white too so she's gonna shed only one hand next?? It's weird .


Do they have claws or hands? I never know what to call those.

Bandit also thinks my hand is a monster and it's going to eat her when it crawls to her and she hisses me... She runs like this in my room all the time. She'll wait for me to put my hand by her so she can spazz and run and if I don't and just sit there, or she'll run up to me and stare at me or run to her basking spot and stare and as soon as I move towards her, she'll run away, stop, wait for me, and run some more... She reminds me of a hyper active dog when you chase her haha (video below)

She always hisses. I don't know why! If it crawls next to her she freaks out. I completely detail cleaned her tank today
I moved her branches around and now she has more space in her tank.

Bahaha, my mom was in the kitchen and Bandit was staring and she just started talking to her. Success.

Lol!! my mom thought I was kidding when I told her I bought one... She was laughing at me (Bandit was at my boyfriends for the first week) and now she'll come into my room, talk to her, touch her and hold her.

I was surprised she didn't attack me when I brought the gecko home, who I renamed to Harlow. I guess if they don't stink and make noise she's okay with it haha

I have a rant so I'm going to rant. lol. So on the 3rd I decided it was about time to fully disinfect her tank again and clean her tiles and glass (over an hour process) for the last two days she has decided she would poop INSIDE her tank and not wait for bathtimes in the am. Normally she uses the bathroom around 930a-10a. Now she decides she wants to go to the bathroom before 8:30 am. I can't wake up that early everyday! I fell asleep at 8pm last night from pure exhaustion and was able to wake up today at that time but she decided to poop before I could even sit up. Of course she would do this to me. Now it's time to steam her tank since there's no way I'm disinfecting everyday.

lol I am moving to my moms in about 4-5 months and I told her when I do I am buying a bearded dragon an she keeps telling me no your not those are the ugliest creatures I have ever seen. And I would say no they are the cutest animals ever. I hope I can turn her into a bearded dragon lover with me after awhile

My mom calls Bandit a crocodile. We're from Eastern Europe so she speaks broken English and can't really say "bearded dragon". She'll occasionally ask me about why I keep a crocodile or she'll call her fat or ugly haha but she's all front and she laughs when she says it. I know she loves her. She will come in my room in the morning or at night to check up on her. Plus she's amazed at how much Bandit grew. Lately she'll come into my room to talk to me, sit on my bed, stare at Bandit and will talk to her about how fat she's (Bandit) gotten and how she let herself go :lol: One of my employees also got a bearded dragon a little over a month ago and her mom hated it at first but now loves it too. It's only a matter of time.
