My mischievous Bandit

She's the cutest little reptile I've ever seen. I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that I would own a beardie. I've always heard negative things about them. Boy, were all the things I've heard wrong... I've learned not to freak out over the small things anymore, that a reptile is a reptile and does as she pleases. I've learned how to properly care for her all because of the wonderful people on this site and I would like to thank you all for all the advice. I bought her when she was around 5 inches.. She's now over 8 I bought her July 24th at a Petsmart near my work.She fell off a tree when we approached the tanks and ran to the glass when I was looking at her. I would say she picked me instead of me picking her I did hours upon hours of research but I made my mistakes especially with those "starter kits" but now I've fixed everything and we are on our road to a healthy, long beautiful life. I feed the dragon a nice breakfast... How am I repaid? With a cranky dragon...

Your ferret is so cute and Benjie gaping is quite the thing. I'm off to feed the geckos, Rocco, my golden, is chattering at me, giving me heck because I'm on the computer and not feeding him :lol:

I gave bandit some chicken and she loved it. Idk if I will again I just wanted to see if she'll go for it

I'm going to throw bandit out the window if she doesn't stop waking me up at 7 am (lights come on at 830) and she DOESN'T STOP MOVING. I thought I'd love her having energy but I love sleep more. I work till 1-2 am so I like sleep. (I won't throw her out a window don't worry lol) she is driving me insane though. Between Ellie and bandit I'm sleep deprived, Ellie wakes me up at 5 am purring and kicking my face. Maybe picture updates tomorrow. If I remember.


Bandit paints her tank EVERYDAY. Her appetite got better but her stool is small :/ but yet she gets it EVERYWHERE. One day, she'll be nice to me again

She sure sounds like a handful, she'll get better. I was lucky in teaching my crew to poop in their baths, only Rubio still insists on pooping in his tank & he's done the painting, too, but only once, as he had to stay covered in poop for 10 hours before I got home. So now he's kind enough to poop under his log & leaves it alone, which is great for me! And your kitten will calm down, too, but then again, mine used to love to sleep on my face when he couldn't get comfy by my side :shock: That's always woke me up in a hurry, not being able to breathe and he was over 10 lbs at the time :lol: Wonder if it would make a difference if you covered Bandit up when you got home, that's what I do and I always have to wake them up in the am. You might want to try that, I've realized that a covered dragon is most times one that doesn't move around or make any noise. Worth a try!

I agree with Deb about covering Bandit's cage because if the sun gets through your window enough to brighten your room, that's all she needs :lol: Jace has sometimes gotten up at 6:30am with me.

Bandit stop being a monster, your momma needs her sleep!!
I do feel your pain though, Brick does/did the same thing. You can try covering Bandit herself with a dark piece of fleece at night so the sun doesn't wake her up early? It helps little Mr. Brick stay asleep (and quiet lol) until his lights turn on, and it's easier than covering the whole tank

Hey guys!

Bandit finally calmed down but now my geckos don't want to eat. uuuuuuugh I think I'm going to have to give them up. I just can't do this anymore with them.

Bandit has been eating like a monster and shedding NON Stop. Ellie is a terror of her own. lol. But two devils I can handle... four, maybe not so much.

Any tips before I do give them up?

How long have they been not eating?

They're living together, yes? I know they weren't before, but is there a chance they could be stressing each other out now? Might be time for separate cages.

About 5 days. They've been together since January I believe. They do this to me. I threatened harlow I was giving them away if she didn't eat and she ate 2 wax worms lol ironic. Eve eats so much one day that she won't eat again for a few days.

That's a drag about your leos. I have 2 geckos but they're a golden and a crestie and have no problem with eating, but I only feed them every 2nd day and only a few crickets at a time. They won't eat any other bug, darn, as I have lots of roaches, won't touch them. Hope things go better, but on the other hand, no need for you to stress yourself out over them, either. Are they losing weight? If not, maybe that's what they want? Just throwing ideas out there.

I don't use Instagram and don't even know how I would approach that. That's just terrible.
