My Lost Bearded Dragon

Hey guys, I'm new here and today I lost my bearded dragon. My sister forgot to put him back after she took him out, and she forgot about him for around 3 hours.
I've searched with my mom for around 2 hours now, and still no luck.

I'm gonna turn the heat up tonight so hopefully tomorrow he'll move around a little. Also, I put his basking light where my sister last saw him before she went off to do her own things. I'm dead worried, and with exams for school and piano coming up in the next few days, the stress is going to stack up if I don't find him quick.

sorry to hear about your lost beardie, im sure he will show up. I lost mine for 5 hours a few weeks ago, I let her run around my livingroom, but did not notice one ofmy cats knocked down a "wall" I made to keep her in my livingroom. Found her in the back bedroom dug her way into a pile of dirty clothes. Good luck keep looking. keep us updated.

check under everything, and in dark spots with the lights on.
he most likely went to hibernate under something, so in the morning be ready to check if he comes out

He's a big lizard, only 3 years old but he's 52 cm last time I checked. I don't know if he can fit under the cracks and stuff.

ya my girl is about that big, give or take a cm. its amazing what they can get into, but you are doing it right, keep a heat source our for your guy, he will most likely sleep throughout the night and should be out and about tomorrow and might go for that heat source.

My house is really big though. Will he be able to sense the heat if he's like 20 meters away? What if he's too cold to move? :lol:

dont worry, he'll end up trying to move close to the brightest light in the room. i doubt he'd be able to go upstairs, or up anything really, so just look everywhere around the floor, bring a flashlight to double check.
just look under everything on that floor of your house, and if possible, the basement

He's not in the basement, cuz my mom said she closed the basement door when my sister took him out. How long cam he go without food and stuff?

They will search for a dark spot, and a warm spot.
Tasty Treat will sit on the surge protector. She goes to sleep under the couch. and yesterday i couldn't find her in all her usual spots but ended up finding her behind a duffel bag next to the bookcase.
you will need a flashlight to look under everything. I've looked in the same spot several times and still managed to not see her.

I haven't lost my beardie, but I have lost my corn snake a couple times. I always found her in the most random places. Under a grocery bag that was on the floor in the kitchen, under the couch, behind the couch.. never in warm places. But I did the same thing for her that everyone has suggested for your lost beardie, left a warm spot down for her to entice her. Never found her at the warm spot, but it didn't hurt to leave it down to make sure she didn't get too cold during the night.

But yeah, triple check laundry piles, under bags, under pillows, whatever. I imagine a beardie would like to snuggle up under something like my snake did. When my snake was under the bag in the kitchen, I absolutely know I checked there not long before, and never saw her crawl over there, but there she was a little bit later! So it doesn't hurt at all to double check places you may have checked already. Sneaky reptiles.

I hope you find your dragon. You can leave a heat lamp out along with a bowl of worms, or greens.

Quadruple checked all clothing and also looked under the sofas with a flashlight. Still no luck but I'll keep trying.
