so it was a nice sunny day where i live and i decided to take courage outside to soak up some sun...he found comfort on my shoulder but did not like the outside haha. maybe he is too young still.

why do you say he doesnt like it?
Hermes didn't in the beginning but we took him out a few minutes longer each time and then he got used to it. He is 19 months old now

Yep Alvin freaked out the first few times I took him out - black beard and all. It scared me because I thought for sure he was going to bite me. It was the first time I ever saw him do that and hope his mouth - looked ferosis - LOL I didn't give up though and now he is pretty used to it but is better when I hold him.

well he turns all black and jumps on my shoulder....right when i put him in his viv he is creamy belly again

Hermes will get panicky if the birds fly by or he hears the dogs but over time has become used to going outside. Start with just 2-3 mins each time adding 2-3 mins each time. When he jumps, hold him talk to him let him know he is okay--invest in a leash so if he jumps OFF he cant get away

give him some time, phoenix sat veryyyy still the first time, the second time he would look around and now i put his harness on and hook him up to the leash and he will literally walk the yard!! hahaha!! you just wait until we go to the park!!! :mrgreen:
