my first beardie

hi people my name is john and i just got my first bearded dragon today he is 12 inches long and lovely
he is very alert i have him in a 30 gallon long tank with the back and sides done with desert looking backround
the floor is coverd in screened play sand which i sived
ive a feeding dish in with chopped carrot and got him crickets and calcium powder to put on crickets
at the moment he is sitting under the heat lamp with mouth open gapeing lol
the other end of tank is 70 to 80 f
ive got a reptiglow 5 uvb light
i cant get a reptiglow 10 to thursday petshop man said
i cant seem to put a pic on here

It sound like you got things pretty well under control. Make sure that your beardie gets PLENTY of water, spraying them is good, but they also need to be soaked in lukewarm water for about 20 minuets atleats 2 times a week. This will help keep them clean and hydrated. A 30 gal tank is pretty minimul for a dragon that size. In the near future, you may need to upgrade to a bit bigger one. But for know, it should be ok.
