My Beardies prefers veggies to crickets! (LOTS OF PICS)

My beardies seem to prefer their veggies over their crickets. I put in their crickets in the morning and they don't really eat many at the same time I put in their veg dish and they run over to it and start eating. Neither of them are skinny and are 11 inches and are 5 months old. Since I bought them they when they were 3 months old they've grown 6 inches. So they are obviously growing and below are some pics to show. Is it ok for them to eat more veg than crickets at this age? Also from the pics can anyone tell me their colour morph or whatever it is please.

what veggies are you feeding them? just curious. they should be eating more live feeders than veggies at this age, if they don't like crickets you could try dubias or micro superworms. try putting their veggie dish in an hour after crickets. i see that you're housing them together too, try feeding them one at a time in a separate rubbermaid tank. either way i highly recommend separating them asap and getting each their own tank. they may be fine now but they can and will randomly snap and fight each other which could result in toe nips, tail nips, or even death if they are both males. if it is a male and female, the could still fight and result in that stuff or breed which you might not want.

I am planning on separating them soon but for now they will be staying in the same tank. I use to feed them in separate tubs. They got very bored of this however so I started to feed them in their tank. I feed them escarole, endive, butternut squash, apple, banana and carrot. I've tried strawberries but they don't like it. I have just bought phoenix worms which Oz likes but not Zizou. They still eat the crickets but I just expected them to be eating more. But they are still growing.

I'd say about 30 a day each I read on this that other peoples eats more than that. When I got them in the pet shop the guy said to give them 5 a day each! I obviously knew that wasn't enough though. And thanks I think they are so adorable, I call them my babies and my family are like what?!

well 30 each is alright, a little on the low end but still alright. and they are eating veggies too which is good. maybe do pw's in the morn and cricks in the afternoon? or put less cricks in there in the morn, and some more and night. just pulling tricks out of a hat here. haha but yeah i do the same. my mom says i treat charlie better i do her! (which is not true... well.. maybe a little :lol: )

Both Zizou and Oz have been eating the phoenix worms today and also more crickets as well as their veggies. I don't know what has changed but yay!
