Lately I've been contemplating a tattoo of my beardies, too, but it's a few years away at least.
I cannot wait to se the finished project, it's already looking keen!

Congrats on the ink! It's looking good so far! I have a similar tattoo on my entire right calf. It's of a beardie Basking on a branch with blue sky in the background along with a cactus and a few rocks down by my ankle. I have to say I'm not extremely happy with the tree that the original artist inked into my skin that the beardie in my tattoo is basking on, but I still have alot of future plans for my tattoo, So hopefully it can be fixed. Congrats again and I hope you enjoy your new ink!

If you still disagree focus on the part about the 'pie hole' towards the end.

I think not. One expects to get stuck with needles when one gets a tattoo. Therefore, it's neither abnormal, unexpected, nor incongruous. Not ironic, but certainly, off-topic...
