My beardie is really really stupid

It jumps face first into the side of the tank from its basking area, at least 10 times a day. It just wants out it seems...but this thing is going to give itself brain damage if it keeps doing it.

Temps are fine, feeding is fine...is my beardie just incredibly stupid?

maybe he needs a bigger cage??? mine likes to jump off his basking tree too, but i put a plant there for a soft landing....he loves it!!!

The little cricket cage I have is on a different side of the tank where it tries jumping. I'm wondering if maybe it sees my snakes aquarium and light and is trying to go towards the light.

It's still a little baby. Maybe the size of my finger still, only a couple months old. It's in a 29 gallon tank though and has plenty of room.
