My bearded dragons will not grow

Hey fella there isnt a petsmart around alittle over 100 miles away in new lenox. Theres a petco about 50 miles away a good 45 minute drive and searched online and cant find any near pet shops one but it sells ferret and dog stuff mostly. When i get my pc working am goin to try a rush or green dot card for online purpose. Kinda blows but i no i will save alot of money by doing it online. I just need to find right prices for reptiworms, silkworms, pheonixworms cause am a fed reptiworms cause crickets are a pain. I lose half of them in my home and get by the water heater and make noises all nite hate em. what about silkworms Are they a staple or heard they cost alot. But have something very good for beardies silkworms and forgot the word it is.

Hey bud, if you live in New Lenox you have PLENTY of options, I am from Tinley Park, which is only 20 minutes down the road tops. There are Petsmarts in Tinley and Orland Park. There is an excellent, and I mean very good reptile house in Orland Park over by Orland Square Mall called the Chicago Reptile House. If you live in New Lenox I would definitely recommend going to the Reptile House, I am pretty sure there is a pet store in Lockport as well. There is also reptile store in matteson which is maybe 35 minutes down the highway. If you do happen to live in the south suburbs your have plenty of resources, if you have any questions about where to go just message me I will glady help you find places.

It had to be a mistake with bigapple but what can i do. Should of sold one but i fell in love. Plastic tub ok but would a mesh cage be a bit better. I dont live in new lenox i live a little while away from there but is the more decent town around. Like if i say wilton center or dover no one knows even where these are at. I know theres a petsmart in tinley and theres one now in new lenox or mokena not for sure. Any other way it would take a whole day to get out to orland or even new lenox so even lately 4 bucks a gal in gas shipping seems alot better. I just been feeding bugs from outside cause i seen my dragon eat one of those earwigs things that was on the topper and i opened it and fell right in and my dragon was right there and gone. So i said why not feed them bugs outside.

I see what your saying. Some people say to not feed outside food because you don't know if has been near pesticides. Personally, I would go to the bank and get yourself a debit card to be fair to your dragon so you can atleast order food online. I have only had Lenny for a few weeks but I have learned it's a big responsibility, especially to keep them healthy.

Same here only had my guys for a few weeks and i think am goin to get a rush card cause i only have cash you no that walmart thing where you go there to cash it because of past issues with banking. Reptiworms.com rocks but its going to be a while cause it prob takes them forever to get a card and get it goin.

Why don't you email beardeddragon.co? I saw them post on here somewhere they can send out 50 dubias for $10 including shipping. I'm sure they will work with you, they are great people.. THey care more about dragons than anything. I really wish you would try to get some small dubias from them. They are very meaty and will fill them up. Bugs from outside are not healthy as you don't know what they have been exposed to. Can I help you out by getting some dubias sent to you? If you PM me your address I will order them from beardeddragon.co for you. I just want your beardies to be able to eat and be healthy!

Bugs from outside can have all sorts of parasites, have gotten into chemicals, and some bugs (for instance lightning bugs) are fatal if ingested. If you are 23 as you said in your other post, I don't understand why you cannot get your own debit card? I've had one since I was 16 if not before. Or you can set up a paypal account that takes money right out of your bank account. I know mulberry takes paypal and I'm sure the other places do as well. Another good site to check for roaches (not dubia, but still good feeders) is www.thebugpros.com.

Before I bought Lenny I was talking to a breeder from Park Forest and she told me of Calumet Earth Farm, supposedly it is a pet store she goes to in Monee, heres there info, let me know if you go there and tell me how it is, should be closer than Tinley.

I am a cash person and to be honest havent really needed to purchase online til now. The only thing i use outside is dandilion greens and thats all i feed them with carrots sometimes and screwberrys. The reason i dont have a credit card or paypals really isnt your business. Nowadays you cant trust anyone and cash is the best way.

Actually cash is not safest. All of my cards and accounts have identity theft protection and I can get my money back. If cash gets stolen, it's gone.

Now, as for the dragon not growing, it might just be that he's not had a growth spurt yet. Keep doing what you're doing with them, (But try to get some greens from a store, not from outside.) I read you ordered bugs from somewhere...(I think)? If so then feed them to your beardies as soon as you get them. Make sure you feed them a ton, and that will help their growth.

I am going to take advice about how i pay for things i dont think so. I have taken advice about alot of things check out my other forums geez. You people act like you no everything about these dragons am sick of it. How do i no what i am doing is right and your wrong.

Part of the issue was the OP not knowing how to buy bugs. I'm not quite sure how the conversation went off topic, nor what there was to report.
