MVB help

So we've got two dragons that just got treated for worms and are on the docket for coccidia treatment in the next few weeks. That means we've been swapping out all of their cage furniture with rocks (that can be baked) and have put in egg crates so they can climb to get closer to the reptisun. Well, one dragon refuses to climb it (she's kind of blah since the de-worming and the the coccidia explosion) so I was thinking of getting a MVB so as to get deeper penetration into the cage.

I'm not looking to start a war but I'm assuming that zoomed is the go-to for this one?--Of course carrying the price premium as always. Since it sounds like the MVBs run a little cooler than our current basking bulbs do you supplment with a sidexside lower wattage basking bulb? Our vivarium is quite tall and has front opening doors/side screen so we need good projection of heat. How long (typically) can I expect them to last? I was under the impression they die quick?

I don't use MVB but have considered them and if I do I'd get a Megaray probably. I've read really good things and users I've talked too speak highly of them. They should last about a year (or more if you can check with a Solarmeter)

I've also looked at the Megaray Metal Halide and Exo-Terra SunRay MH, as the spectrum is reported to be excelent from them. Again, not used them personally but something to look into. They have pretty big height requirments though.
