Mrjaws ate a bumble bee

We were outside and before I could react, a bumble bee got to close to Mrjaws and was eaten . I could not see any distress and he ate a wax worm with no hesitation. He is basking under his lamp now and appears normal. Should I be worried?

Mine have eaten bees + hornets outside with no ill effects. If he hasn't reacted, there should be no problem at all. Silly dragons and their taste for exotic food ! :lol:

My guy ate a bee a few weeks back too. No black beard and just carried on as normal. If you don't see signs of distress shortly after, he'll be fine. It's amazing how quick they are when they're hungry!

Thanks, I remember reading somewhere about the danger of stinging insects and I was prepared to take him to the vet. Thank you.

It's a possible danger, but he would likely react quickly if he was stung or hurt. If he carried on like normal he was probably not stung. My guess is that they strike too quickly.

Update from yesterday. Mrjaws just woke up at 8:00AM ET. NO problem. Ate salad w/worms with gusto. Thanks for your advice
