Ive had my girl Tmpey for about a month now and I got her a new viv all set up and ready...its great, Its a 40 long and I used vynal peel and stick tiles as the flooring(its a nice fancy wood pattern!) and a few logs and some tiles stacked for basking. Is she gonna be ok moved into the new one? I dont want to stress her out too much. I have a new guy coming tomorrow and I was planning on putting him in her old viv, a 20 long until I have the next 40 set up for him, at which time Ill move Seeley into the 20 (hes still only 6.5 inches) so I figure he can graduate to the bigger one last, until I can get yet another 40 set up for him...jeez, its a game of musical chairs beardie style! Anyway, I hope she likes it...what are your thoughts?

Well so far so good! She seems to LOVE it! She ran around, waves at the other beardies and poopedin like 10 minutes, without even a single stress mark! Im so glad. I really reccomend the peel and stick vinyl tiles by the way, It was so easy to cut them to size and so easy to clean. Plus, when applied to glass they are super easy to remove, and a box of 45 12x12 tiles cost me 13 dollars...Ill have enough for the rest of my life! Plus the look spiffy! Ill post pictures as soon as I get my charger for my camera back!

Woot on the new viv but please remove those tiles :( i bought them too and found out the glue when heated puts off fumes that can harm your beardie. So we went with tile.

I bought a brand that has a non toxic "green" adhesive, I was very careful. But thanks for the heads up!

Now youve got me paranoid! Just in case the "green" adhesive may still be bad, is there anything I can use to seal the edges that would be cheap and easy? Like silicone or maybe even hot glue? Im not worried about having to replace them, and If I have to I can get non-adhesive linoleum...I have back issues so i am trying to stay away from anything heavy like ceramic or slate. I want my babies to be safe and If i can just seal the edges Ill be way happier than having to rip them out :) Let me know and thanks!

Ok, so I had some small 3 x 3 tiles and a large piece of slate, so I put that over the vinyl under the basking area. I read in some other posts that that will keep the adhesive from overheating and causing problems. Theyve been in there for about 12 hours now and I cant detect any fumes...but im not a beardie. Do you think that will lessen the chances of having problems? I sure hope so...
Thanks!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
