Moving across seas

So, when I first got my beardie, Regan, I bought him with my ex when my ex moved in with me. We had decided my ex would be the one to keep Regan in the event of a break-up, or when I finally moved from Saskatchewan, Canada, to London, England. Long story short: Ex wasn't taking care of Regan, I bought Regan from him, and am now caring for him. When I move, I'm planning on rehoming him. I have two cats who are coming to England with me.

But, well, I'm getting pretty attached to him (as I knew would happen), and was wondering if anyone knew of any ways to get him across seas. I've heard that some people who move will put them someplace with one of those heat packs people can use in winter (that hold heat for eight hours), but as they only hold heat for eight hours, and the flight is a good deal longer than this, I don't think that's going to work out so well.

Has anyone ever done anything similiar? Is there a way to do it (that isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg, given the two furballs who are coming with me)?

First of all <I am from a military family that has moved with animals> check on the quarantine and customs laws in England before moving from Canada to there. In many instances animals will be kept quarantined in an area specified for quarantine and usually at your expense. When flying I would keep him in a small animal carrier that can be kept under the seat and use heat packs for shipping in the carrier to keep him warm. As they lose warmth you can easily replace it with another. Your dragon will not be exposed to UVB on the plane but he should be ok without it for a couple of days and I would not feed him while in transit as the change in altitude, even though the cabin is pressurized, can upset his system a bit. I've already looked into quarenteen laws for my cats (get them microchipped and a rabies shot, rabies shot has to come after the microchip for who knows what reason, and then they can only be shipped on approved flights), but as this is still a new idea for me, haven't looked into anything for my beardie. I guess I should probably look into those types of laws.

I believe bearded dragons can be purchased and sold overseas. so you can always check into shipping him. the shortest one available of course. if you have someone over there waiting you can ship to them, or have a friend ship him after you leave so you are there to get him.

I would look into possible bringing him onboard with you!??? I know some airlines ( like ALASKA ) will let you bring your cat/dog in the cabin with you if they are small enough! I flew with my dog once, and he fit in the promoted carrier size ( that fits under the seat in front of you ) ... maybe they will do that for your beardie? that would be awesome! then you can actually monitor him better and not worry about cabin pressure/temperature. That would be so fun to fly with your beardie !!!!
