MOST EXCITING DAY OF MY LIFE

Just got'em yesterday and was able to finally hold Buddy. Yes I am my beardie Buddy. Still no idea what sex it is. But it felt great. No lie I was completely nervous and kept getting flash backs from my fancy bearded dragon I owned. That one would whip and bit you even when you went to feed it. SOOOO yes I was kinda scared at first but I started off by petting his head. Got informed bad idea so I haven't since then but I pet him on the back with one finger. He went up to his basking tree which is the highest point in the tank and while petting him I got this feeling like Buddy was telling me it's ok pick me up and I eased my hand under his belly and slowly lifted him. Kinda froze when he adjusted himself so he was on my hand better. Once he did that I put him as close to my chest as I could which was an awesome feeling. Buddy even licked my thumb not sure why at this point to excited to even research it. Buddy then climbed up my arm and sat right by my elbow which no lie was so cool. Now for the scary part. I went to put him back in the cage (another feeling like he was saying ok man I'm done for today). As I got lower into the cage he jumped off my arm and only a smaller make shift log. I was scared out of my mind that Buddy just hurt himself. I waited for a while and he seems ok. Now for the part that makes me wanna cry. my wife keeps putting this cardboard paper box top on top of one side of the tank because she is afraid he will jump out. This got bumped and fell in the cage right by Buddy and freaked him out.....IDK what will happen tomorrow but I am hoping that we don't have to start over. I'm sorry for the wall of text I am just SUPER EXCITED. pics to come.

I'm glad to hear you're off to such a good start! He looks like a happy little guy too =)
