So the past two weekend I've had artist open studios and Mort sat in her usual window spot in the studio. She has a blankie on the windowsill where it's sunny, but living in Yorkshire it's often not so there's a 60W bulb to warm her spot too.
This weekend so met sooo many people! And converted two people who literally walked out of the room as soon as I said "yes, she's real". lol. But they slowly came back in, looked at paintings, and eventually tried a little stroke of her back.
And yesterday she was practically accosted by two young boys! So I took her down and held her on my arm for them to pet her. They were very good kids really, enthusiastic but not scaring her. She kept her orange beard on and white belly and just said hello. After a bit she looked up and me and moved her front half up towards my shoulder. Still happy beard and white belly. I was so proud of her!
She got lots more window time and a couple waxworms.
I found it really interesting because for 4 days she didn't seem to mind lots of people in the afternoon at all, but she gets stressed with when I have guests stay overnight. Weird.
anyway, some studio pics and a pic of what artists do with lizards on their glass tables. Lizard belly!
