His dragons look a little thin, but I'm not sure if the hornworm size is that bad. Since they are a softbodied worm and all... :dontknow:

That size is actually fine. I feed mine horn worms that big. The worm are so soft and squishy, I have no worries about impaction, so long as Bert thoroughly chews them up. I've even been feeding smaller horn worms to my new baby, Stan. Stan's only six weeks old and eating 3/8" crickets, but I feed him horn worms that are an inch long. he just chews them up really well. I only ever feed either of my beardies 2-3 horn worms at a time, though. They get horn worms for lunch and crickets for dinner.

The slightly more alarming thing about that video is all of those dragons being fed together. I would think feedings would be one of the more dangerous times to have beardies together because they'd be more likely to fight over the food.

omg, what's wrong with that dragon's mouth? the comments say the dragons look well cared for, i think they look underfed and dehydrated. and do they have a UVB bulb? i have never seen a dragon's lips bend like that!

The dragon in the middle at the beginning of the video has symptoms of MBD, mainly that his lower jaw sticks out farther than his upper.

I agree about all of them eating together. That was another concern and if you wait there is a second in the video where it sort of pans out and you can see one of the dragons tails were definitely injured at some point. And that ones jaw is why I said some don't look right. Plus some of the others just look a little ragged.

The hornworm size is okay since they are soft bodied. The thing that concerned me were the dragons. They looked dehydrated and that one who was having trouble eating the worm looked like it had MBD. But not only that, it looked toothless. That is why the lips bent like that. There were no teeth to crush or hold onto the worm. Those poor poor dragons. :(

Moved here from General Discussion forum.

I agree that the beardies shouldn't be fed together. The size of the hornworms is fine except for the one that has MBD and no teeth, that one should be fed much smaller worms otherwise it could get lodged in his mouth or throat. I had a hard time watching that one trying to get the hornworm down. :(

Yeah, I did too. When the hornworm was sitting in it's mouth I could see that the MBD was giving it jaw pain. I closed the window after that. I just couldn't watch it anymore.

In the beginning of the video one of the beardies looked like it had deflated fat pads on it's head. And the other one definitely has MBD.Poor things are malnourished and dehydrated :( :angry5: .

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
