His poo is getting more normal, still smells pretty strong but the green is going away. I've been dusting his greens and worms with some probiotic and bathing him in diluted pedialyte. I will probably give him a second dose on thursday per your suggestion and bring in a stool sample next week. His appetite is definitely down but I think that also may be due to his legs and back being in shed (his legs peeled today and his back should be peeling really soon.

Tuesday is his weigh-in day, so here were the results: 52 grams, 10.5 inches. +10 grams and half an inch this week. Good God Moose. Pinworms, Panacur, shed, nothing can stop him

I think his appetite may be coming back, he had almost 30 worms today, most he's had in a while. I should be able to get in a fresh sample tomorrow, hope it's clean this time. It's been a while, so here's some new pictures!

Just got back from the vet, Moose has 0 counts of everything, woo! Take that, pinworms!

He is going NUTS right now. Puffing, running, scratching like a dog, running across his log and rock with his belly flat to the surface... I feel so bad! :lol: I'm trying to get a video but I every time I pull my phone out he stops the shenanigans

Another thing to note, this dude loves hornworms. The batch I got only had a handful small enough for him, but he went nuts for them... I've never seen him so excited for food. I've been planning for breeding silk worms but he isn't eating them very well, I think he prefers the reptiworms to the silkies... He jumps to butter worms real quick but will only eat one or two... not sure why, they look delicious, it's like a waxworm that rolled around in cheeto powder :lol:... He wanted more horns though! Guess I'll have to look into breeding or at least hatching them out. Is there anywhere else to get eggs besides great lakes that anybody knows about?

New feeders came in today. Greatlakeshornworm came to the rescue with two cups of horns this guy can actually eat, thanks Rob! His reaction wasn't as intense as it was last time, but he sure ate them up! I also got reptiworms and phoenixworms today... Kind of surprised it took 5 days for the phoenixworms to get here considering they're located like 6 hours away from me (by car), but whatever. I was planning on starting a thread to discuss peoples experiences between the two companies. Mine were "meh" from both. They both wiggle like crazy in the substrate but once you pick them up and drop them they turn into twigs :| Both have some DOAs, both of them come in really annoying bedding... One isn't better than the other, IMO.

haha. Reminds me of a big man in a tiny jacket. Busting at the seams! lol. His coloring is amazing though! So glad to see he's settled right in and with no more pinworms!

I just went through the whole thread & I must tell you I just love his tank, then Moose is the cutest, so colourful and he'll just get more colourful as he sheds. I loved the hornworm video, did he even chew them? It was like "chomp chomp chomp swallow" and his belly is quite the thing to behold. He's going to be a big beardie once he's done growing. Glad he's done with those parasite & that you figured it out so quickly. A weekly dose is what usually works. I just got a new beardie, a rescue, he was abandoned at the pet shop where I go. He was on a weekly panacur dose for awhile, that's what my vet has always recommended & at Moose's size I knew it wouldn't take long. Good you contacted Tracie, she's very knowledgable, has helped me alot (I have 5 adult male dragons and a golden gecko).

He's going to be growing into his name pretty quick & looks like he's taking after his daddy, too.

Congrats, he is a beautiful guy, and he sure felt at home quickly! That just proves that you did your homework & picked a good breeder.

David, how many weeks do you think I should do this? I asked Tracie how many doses I should give but I haven't received a response yet.

Am going through pinworm treatment too. Just got the same info from Tracie on it, 1x a week, maximum of 3 weeks treatment.

Just read through this thread, makes me anxious to get my beardie but I know I need to be patient, cause everything needs to be perfect! Moose is so beautiful, he seems so chill. Hope he starts to feel better, please keep us posted!!
