cute pictures! - I love the head shedding pictures - they're so cute - I always feel bad for my boys - they take forever to shed - they'll turn white and then sometimes I swear take 10 days to lose it. My one boy has a ton of trouble with the top of his head - I had to buy an Aloe plant just for him - I snap off a piece to use on the top of his head - once I did that he shed the top of his head like 4 times in a row - I don't think their previous owner gave them baths - so be glad for the little things!!

what kind of reptile is Noodles? (cute name too btw)

It took him a little over a week from turning white to losing the shed, when he started peeling he was done by the end of the day. His baths definitely helped. And Noodles is my Crested Gecko :)

Oh the head shed! He looks like he's wearing a little hat!

Yep, when they're babies they can whip thru a shed pretty easily. My Stella is now getting to where some parts don't come off so easily - especially the top of her head. I find that soft strokes with a soft toothbrush in the bath helps A LOT. She loves it - NOT! She does enjoy her back being brushed tho.

I love Noodles! :love10:

Thanks everyone :) I need to weigh and measure him today... He's growing so fast. He's been gobbling up 80 reptiworms a day. I just had to order more, went with 500 medium instead of 300 small this time. He seems to ignore the smaller ones and eat the big ones first. Hopefully these will last longer too. He still loves to eat his greens though. He fell asleep on me last night. It took a little while, he would close his eyes and open them every 2-5 minutes to make sure nothing weird was happenening lol. But he gave up on that and was sleeping heavily within half an hour- so cute.

Brought some poo to the vet this morning, little Moose has pinworms :(. Could be worse, though.

UGH! Crappy... :( But at least it isn't coccidia!

Yeah it could have been worse. I know pinworms aren't that big of a deal, but he will be medicated. Poor little guy. The vet gave me some panacur, I picked up some probiotics, and I will give him his dose tomorrow. I've been talking it over with Tracie and it sounds like she wants me to give one dose a week. The vet told me a dose a day for 5 days. I'm going to take Tracie's advice, hopefully it won't be too hard on his system... I feel so bad that I have to do this. I hope he doesn't hate me for it.

I hope he didn't catch them from the reptiworms... The only other feeders I've given him were waxworms from petsmart.

Doh, poor Moose! He should do really well with the Panacur as it's mild on the system. Tracie's dosing sounds more in line with what we typically recommend as well.

If I get anymore Reptiworms, I'll check them for pinworms and let you know what I find. Pinworms are somewhat common in some feeder colonies unfortunately, but I'm sure you already know that.

Yeah he was not happy with the way Panacur tastes. After he took the first lick he kept running and squirming... I got him to take a whole dose though. He got real dark and developed a lot of stress marks within the hour after that. I got him some worms, he didn't eat a whole lot but he's had over 10 today and he munched on his salad as well. I mixed his probiotic with Noodle's crested gecko diet, he was weary of the syringe but I think he liked how it tasted. I didn't feed a whole lot to him but I put some with the reptiworms and they ate it up. Probiotic+CGD gut load... Maybe that will work :dontknow: He doesn't have the stress marks at this point in the day and his colors are back to normal, so that's good. I'll keep you updated.

David, how many weeks do you think I should do this? I asked Tracie how many doses I should give but I haven't received a response yet.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
