Mojo needs help now!!!!!!

hello my bearded dragon Mojo has stop eating and now he looks like he is going to die. i have trying everthing to get him to eat i even took him out in to sun all day and he seem to be more alive out side for a full 10 mins then he looks like he is dead again. how can i get him to eat if i have put him in a diff cage away from the girl i tryed to feed them everthing they can eat what can i do???? please e-mail me asap to let me know [email protected] thank you

Can you post a picture of your dragon and a picture of his enclosure?

How long has he been not eating? How long has he looked like he was going to die?

How old is he? You have had him living in the same enclosure with another dragon? Did the other dragon injure him? Is the other dragon otherwise normal appearing and eating?

mojo is 3 years old and he was liven with libby but i took him out cuz he was not eating libby did bite his tail and that is when it seem like she stop eating i think. he dont even fight me anymore when he gets out out the cage but if i took out libby her feet are everywhere till she is safe. he looks dead and that has happen for the last 2 weeks and i am trying to put pic up but i dont know how so e-mail me at [email protected] and i will send the pics to you

My email is [email protected] - I will post the pics here for you if you email them to me. Can you please post a good pic of the tail that was bitten? I am wondering if he has an infection and that might be causing the problem. Did you take him to a vet when that happened? if yes, what medication was he given? Have you been bathing or soaking him? Have you done any kind of wound care to the tail? How much of his tail was bitten, and was it bitten clean off?

I got the pictures of Mojo. I'm really scared that he will die, and he really is in bad shape. To me, in my opinion, a dragon in this bad of condition needs immediate medical care. He still may not survive. I do believe he will have a better chance of survival if you could get him into a reptile rescue. He is going to take months and months of nursing in order to survive. I'm not even sure where to start to tell you how to take care of him. It's really that desperate. Can you get him into a vet *today*? Will you consider allowing him to be taken in by the rescue group? I know you love him, but he is pretty far gone. I'm sorry.

i know he needs help but there is no where around here that will take him and i cant sign him over cuz there is no where so i am trying everything i can to help him i hate watching him die i wish i could do something

We will find someone who will take him, please don't worry about that. We are all working on it right now, as we speak. Hang in there, keep him comfortable and warm, and make sure he is separated from the other dragon. Do you have somewhere you can put him and give him a heat lamp to keep him warm and safe?

Try getting him to drink water by dripping some on his nose. If you have an eye dropper or syringe without a needle you can use that. If not, just drip some on his nose with your fingers. Add some unsweetened juice to the water if necessary. You can also use the dropper or syringe to gently try to put some water in the side of his mouth by pulling his lower lip down.

i just got a droper that does 0.8ml and i have got him to take 1.2 ml so far and he is responding right to it and drinking it i do have to help him a little bit but he has to droper down for drinking now. could i do the same thing with baby food to try to get him to eat?

Yes you can try to get him to eat babyfood. The best vegetable kind that I have found for beardies is squash. There is a chicken and broth / turkey and broth made by Beech Nut - it is part of the Homestyle type they make. I have used both of those in the past. Do you have any needless syringes?

You had sent me an email that it looks like there is something wrong with the inside of his mouth - can you please describe that to us so we can figure out what that is? If it is a wound or a sore or any type of rot that would be a reason he would not eat.

with his mouth when he opens is its all white but his tongue when your looking at it. its on the right side witch would make it on his left but with libby her tongue in the middle his is on his left and staying there

My first guess is if his mouth is all white then he is anemic. :!: Do you see any open wounds or black spots? Does he have any teeth?
