Mera & Bowser, new pictures.

since bowser has been feeling down lately (he's doing much better within the past few days) we were at the petstore getting a new ceramic heat emitter for his bedtime and i ran into this cutie. she has a bad kink in his tail and a nip so they gave us a discount on her but she is soo friendly. it's odd having one not try to squirm from my hands and she's so big compared to bowser! i figured she'd keep me from harassing bowser too much because i like spending time with them. gotta pick her out a name though! she's also my "motivation" present from my husband because she's supposed to help me study and do work. here she is hanging on me on our way home, i probably looked crazy walking down the street with a lizard on my chest LOL.

so i found out my bristlenose plecos have been breeding and somehow protected two groups of fry from the other catfish in our community tank. i took like 10 that i caught out and put them in a grow out tank with the guppies. they're TOO CUTE. i never thought they would breed since i'm told plecos are a pain in the butt to get going.

& bowser and mera are BOTH shedding. his face is exploding and her fat belly is all itchy.

happy late holidays to anyone i missed. :3 been a little busy lately but i check up once in a while. my husband got me a new exo-terra and 3 darling little anoles for christmas. we'd seen one almost every time we went into petsmart and around christmas came back and he had half of his tail missing? they also had them housed with tree frogs so i'm assuming a frog bit it off or he got it caught in the lid when they opened it to feed them. so i asked him if we could bring him home and he randomly just caved and asked me what kind of viv i wanted.

bowser is kind of down for the winter. he's about a year and a few months old now and he just wants to sleep(he's not in the knock out coma like some beardies fall into). he does get woke up for a bath every other day & i've been feeding him some baby food when he gets hungry.
mera however is still wide awake and eating more than ever. she's so porky! she's also been very cuddle-oriented when i take her out so we get lots of snuggle time.
everyone else is doing great and putting on weight :3

They all look so happy and healthy. I am glad to see people still buy anoles as pets. Yeah, the PetSmart I used to go to keeps their anoles with frogs as well. How weird. Petco doesn't.

I'm glad the holidays seemed to have gone well on your end.

well the anoles , leos, and peach are really low maintenance. i don't have to handle my anoles too! haha. they actually have a LOT of personality. bowsers kind of asleep right now so not much to do with him either. i think beardies are just really stressful pets. LOL. they're the only ones i have that want to be out almost every day. i basically just feed everyone (minus peach, she gets fed once a week) in the morning and mist the cages of those who need it. then some snuggle time with the beardies during the day and then a second feeding for them at night if they want it. i was fortunate enough to pick out some antisocial pets i guess. haha.

haha atlas is the wimpiest frog in the world. he just blows himself up like a puffer fish and holds still. you'd love him!

they're all doing great. & ofcourse bows is behaving himself all he does is sleep right now. haha. other than that mr prius has decided he's going to actually chomp down lately. he bit me so hard he broke skin and dragged his teeth down my knuckle. if he wasn't so cute i would throw him outside and leave him homeless!

Hey Chastity,
Been keeping up with you on tumblr, miss seeing you around here. Are all your babies on their best behavior? Saw some chameleons at my local Petco - apparently they're legal in my state now. And let me just say, they are so terrible to each other.
