Mera & Bowser, new pictures.

since bowser has been feeling down lately (he's doing much better within the past few days) we were at the petstore getting a new ceramic heat emitter for his bedtime and i ran into this cutie. she has a bad kink in his tail and a nip so they gave us a discount on her but she is soo friendly. it's odd having one not try to squirm from my hands and she's so big compared to bowser! i figured she'd keep me from harassing bowser too much because i like spending time with them. gotta pick her out a name though! she's also my "motivation" present from my husband because she's supposed to help me study and do work. here she is hanging on me on our way home, i probably looked crazy walking down the street with a lizard on my chest LOL.

not much. he bites now but he has wimpy bites. after having my finger mauled by bowser i'm not even phased by his so then he just comes with me. :lol:

as i'm told. apparently veileds are the most moody of chameleons which is dumb because i could have gotten a jacksons or a panther. BUT NOOO. lol! he bites like a sissy though. he's like MOM I'LL BITE I SWEAR I'LL BITE. then he does it and i just pick him up anyways.

Is it bad to say that when I first started handling leos and beardies, I was more afraid of a leo biting me with all their hissing and what not and tail raising than I was of Jace's wide open mouth? Baby leos scare the bajesus out of me.

leo bites are quick and mostly painless, never scares me when they give me attitude(leo pms?). bowser bites are serious chomps and make you bleed and have sore fingers for a week!

Zy has made me bleed twice and I'd still rather her than the leos. Ava bit me once and has tried many times recently. I'm too afraid to hold her now. Nissa used to really freak me out. I was always afraid she'd drop her tail on me.

i honestly don't see how leos ever drop their tails. my "baby" is a HUGE brat and doesn't like being touched at all and wiggles like a mad woman when you have to handle her. i always thought she'd drop her tail but nope, nothing. 8)

There's a Pet Smart near me and every time I go there the babies all are in the process of regrowinv their entire tail. The Petco across from them has the problem every now and again. The Petco I go to hasn't had a single problem for the year I've been there.
