I just replaced my T-Rex (working fine in this fixture for 1 year) with a new Megaray and it burned out on its 2nd day. I guess its possible that I got the dud out of however many are defective, but on my first time purchase I am not satisfied. They are also back ordered so if I were to call them up for warranty help, I still wouldn't get one soon enough.
I want to do what is best for him, regardless of $$.
I'm seriously reconsidering Megaray and MVB in general because now Zumakalis has to be without UVB for at least a week since I would have to continue to purchase them over the internet.
A local pet store sells the Reptisun 10.0 for $30, which in the long run, would be only $5 more a year than a MVB with shipping etc.
If I buy a 48" Reptisun 10.0 for a 4x2x2 cage, is that sufficient enough UVB lighting for him? I'm hesitant to switch over from MVB but reliability of lights here is key here to keep Zumakalis healthy.
Any advice?
