MegaRay anywhere?

Hey Guys,
I finally got my package from petmountain.com and it was minus my T-Rex bulb. I am still without a UVB bulb for Ollie. I need to go ahead and order another bulb with an expensive expedited shipping but, since I have to re-order I would rather have the MegaRay. Do any of you know if any store has any MegaRays in stock??????
They are out everywhere.
So, if you have any ideas please let me know.

I found a company that has something called a MegaRay EB Kit. I will paste the specs. Will someone tell me if this is a good product. It supposedly extends the life with the balast that is has. It is a 60 watt but the specs of UVB are great.

SPECIFICATIONS: MINIMUM distance+ setting of 12" will produce 150-200 microwatts (uW/cm2). MAXIMUM distance+ setting of 20" will produce 50-75 microwatts (uW/cm2).

DESCRIPTION: Mega-Ray flood is a 60-watt EB Par-38 True Frosted Flood Lamp, the only one of its kind in the world. A true flood lamp it will disperse usable UVB in a 30" circumference at a 20" distance. This bulb is warranted* for one full year to produce a minimum of 50 microwatts (uW/cm2) at 12" and our initial testing shows even higher readings. Our external ballast is warranted for 2 full years, and we believe it will last much longer.

I need my friends with the lighting education down to tell me if this is a good product or do I go with the 100 watt MegaRay flood with no coating. Dang this lighting stuff is really complicated.

I talked to Bob a couple of months ago about that bulb. It's just as good as the 100 watt mega ray, with regards to the uvb output. The only thing he said you need is additional heat as I guess it doesn't put out as much heat as the 100 watt one.

I use the MegaRay EB 60 in 1 of my enclosures & I'm very pleased with it & will be replacing the SB 100's I have in the other 2 enclosures when it's time

I am going to order the MegaRay EB 60 this morning, My questions is do I also need to order a dome? I see that it is a fixture and the bulb, but I don't see any type of dome covering for the bulb. I think I will need to hang it also. Do you know the name of the hanging "thingy"? The basking hammock and rocks are less than 12inches from the top screen where I set the other basking lights on.

Has any of you ever looked, or shopped at a website called everythingreptilesupply.com? They are carrying the MegaRay bulbs and kits. They are also in-stock. I will probably order from ReptileUV, but I found this site. I thought that ReptileUV was the only people that handled the MegaRay. I am trying to findout about the dome with the kit before I order. Just thought I would ask about this site. The prices are great and they handle all of the MR bulbs.

I found a dome at Home Depot for about $13 that is ceramic and is rated for 300 watts. This dome will work for the Mega ray (any of them I'd guess). I bought 2 of them last saturday evening so I'm prepared to get the mega ray (or t-rex) when I can. I'll probably wait until my reptisun 10 tubes expire.

I spoke to Bob at ReptileUV and he suggested getting a dome at Hardware store for the MegaRay. I ordered the MegaRay EB 60 as it really puts out the rays of other 100's. It will be good. He also said to complete the spectrum, get a good halogen bulb at the hardware store that is rated outdoor. The instructions on specs in the MegaRay are accurate and follow them. I also ordered the flourescents ReptileUV have to finish off the full spectrum of lighting. I need the light hangers, but instead of spending way more money than I had intended on all of this, I think I will build something that will do the job just fine. I need to lengthen the space from the basking spot and light to at least 12inches.
Bob @ ReptileUV was very very helpful and went in to it in great detail of the full spectrum needs of all reptiles as well as Dragons for there digestion, immune system and longevity.
After this, I think I am set!

Im not sure where you are located but I am in Canada our 2 reptile stores here carry the Mega Rays in 100w and 160w and always have them stocked ... are you in Canada?

I am actually in southern Louisiana. I ordered the MR EB 60 kit from Bob @ ReptileUV. I finally got it in yesterday. It took 6 no 7 days through UPS. So, if you are in a hurry pay the extra shipping because UPS is REALLY slow right now. This megaray light is like a shot of B12 ot our little Ollie. She has become so inquisitive and active. She constantly looks up at it. She doesn't just sit and bask anymore. She explores the viv and hunts. I find her appetite has improved also. She is like a new dragon. I can't get over the change in her.
