Hello,

I picked her up on Sunday evening. She eats very well and loves her greens.....she dosen't seem to be too picky just yet. She has a little bit of an attitude though........and we don't have a name picked oot yet either...but she is so cute.....

That's great, she has some beautiful coloring. The attitude is probably because she is SO confused & I'm sure that attitude will be gone in no time with your TLC. That's great that she's enjoying her greens, also looks like she's drinking out of her water dish. Was she doing the armwave in one of the pics?

She does drink out of her dish.........I've heard that alot of beardies don't do that?? Yes...she definetly does have attitude...I wonder if her and Vickys new baby are related, lol She is very feisty too......hisses and flattens all out if we put a hand in side the cage.....she was arm waving too the first night we got her..

The previous owners kept her in a back bed room that was not in use and did not mess w/ her alot at all, so she isn't use to having a family......I hope she grows out of that......the previous owners never turned off her basking lamp either........it was on constantly When her lights go out here......I put her on her bed..hehe....and she just lays right down.....it's soooooooo sweet...........I'm already in love.... :love5: can you believe it?? :roll:

That is so sad that they treated her so badly thats why I am so glad her new forever home is yours because I know you will spend the rest of her life treating her like a princess.(even if she is an evil princess :wink: )

She'll be spoiled rotten in no time. Some of the attitude could be "puberty" related, do you know how old she is? Might be a good idea to have some pieces of greens in your hand when she opens her mouth like that & pop some in, that will confuse her & give her something else to think about. That really does work. It might also help her to think of your hand as a good thing, sounds like she didn't have good care at all before, poor thing. That's awful that she was in a back bedroom & neglected. I'll bet she was dehydrated & that's why she was so thirsty.

That's so sweet the way she laid right down on her bed, you must have melted. We are all so happy that you found each other, it was just meant to be. :love5:

They told me that she was 9 months old.....they've had her since December of 2007 and said that she was itty bitty then....I don't know how she survived, but I'm sure glad that she did....

I'll try the throwing the greens in when I put my hand in there and she does that...... she will let me rub her head after I insist.........but she flattens out....I'm sure shes probably scared too....

You may want to slowly introduce protiens to her at first.She seems very thin so its probably a good idea to go slow with protien so her body doesnt go into shock.I think with your TLC she will do great!You may even find that her personality does a complete 180 now that she has the proper husbandry.I would be pretty grumpy if I was treated like she was
It is a miracle she survived though.One more thing you may want to do is get her calcium levels checked considering she has been without proper lighting/vitamins probably her entire life.

Thats a good idea about the calcium levels......I plan to take her in to Dr.Dan in a few weeks after she has setteled in......I've read that the coccidia count can go up, due to relocation stress......I want to avoid any meds if I can.....
