Meal worms for juvie?

So I may be getting a beardie and I dont have crickets for the first week could I give it mealworms also are locust good for beardies

I would STRONGLY recommend AGAINST this, I actually have a juvie beardy right now that is a bit impacted from eating mealworms, I know it can be a bit of a pain to have to deal with crickets/ roaches but they really are much better and far safer for them to eat.

You might do better if you can source some silkworms locally , even if you feed them only Silkworm Chow (if you can't find a source of fresh mulberry leaves).

I heard from another Kiwi that crickets are extremely hard to find and are very expensive in NZ.
He used GRUB-PIE to feed his beardie as a result.
