MBD Beardie suggestions

Hey, everyone!

I adopted a three year old beardie with moderate to severe MBD two days ago. Other than her deformities, she is healthy and happy, but I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions for safe enrichment for a Beardies with these types of issues. Her back legs are essentially useless to her, and her front ones are a bit mangled, as well, so they easily get caught under her belly as she moves around.

The store had a log in her tank, and I have the same one for her as well, but twice she has toppled off of it and ended up in a compromising position (on her back or partially on her back). I remove the log any time I leave the house so that can’t happen when no one is around to help, but I’m hoping someone here might have suggestions for permanent enrichment/accessories that are completely safe for a beardie like my sweet baby. She LOVES being propped up on it (maybe it takes some pressure off her legs?), and I hate the though of her living in an essentially empty enclosure..

Any tips or suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks in advance!

I'd remove the log , it's not worth the risk for her.
She needs an all one level habitat for safety because of her disabilities.

This means you will need to rearrange the lighting.

I think she'll benefit from lots of quality time with you , snuggles, tv watching on your lap or on the chair next to you , on a cushion on the floor …. she deserves to be pampered and spoilt.

Thanks for the reply! Yes she definitely loves snuggles and attention! <3

Any ideas for things I can put in there even keeping it one level? She has a blanket that she loves - maybe just a couple different cuddle spots? I hate the thought of it being super boring for her.. I’m going to tile the floor, and then she’ll have her blanket on one end and maybe I can make her a little cushion, as well.. I’m sure this is much less important to her than to me, hahah.

I use a patio/lawn stepping stone I got from Home Depot for just a few bucks. It’s only about an inch high but they’re cool looking and adds something. I also use $.30 bricks but those are taller and maybe a bit much for her.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
