okay guys..
i was just informed by my boyfriend today that maxwell vomited a little bit it was clear but there was a chunk of worm in it ..im not entirely sure what thats from he came out of hibernation about two weeks ago and has been slowliy regaining his appetite..but its not where it should be but i figured it could be that it just going to take time..but the vomit confuses me is it cuz his tanks too hot..the other day i noticed his tank having a hard time getting warm so i bought a new bulb..a 150 watt compact zoomed(i know compact is bad..but its been what hes been on since a baby i tried ot switch and he got real sick so i was advised to switch back) right now heres his setup
a 75 gallon tank
tile substrate
150 watt zoomed basking bulb comapct
his tank has been about 120 in the basking spot which he avoids always has he just likes his shade
his meal consisits of 5 meal worms a day and as much kale as he wants to eat (none yet)
im just wondering why he threw up like he did ?? and what i can do to regain his appetite from hibernation or will it just take time..he also gets baths once or twice a week with some liquid calcium that he hates but eats it anyways ..
forgot to mention maxwell. is two he will be three may 12th
anyhelp would be greatly appreciated im kinda thinking hes just getting too warm,,so im measuring the cool side as we speak..to see if the blanket on top of his cage needs to come off or not

Meal worms aren't an ideal feeder as they're very high in chitin - inedible shells that can cause them to have deadly constipation - I suggest having a look through the boards for some more suitable foodstuffs.

Yes, your tank is a bit too warm - you want to get a thermostat on there. I suggest a Habistat one - there are regularly good dimming models on eBay. They're not cheap, but they maintain perfect temperatures.

Vomiting is not normal for a dragon, it's much harder work than it is for us mammals. I'd strongly advise you see a vet, or at least get some proper advice over the phone - it could be caused by many different things. What temperature is his cool end at?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
