What the heck just happened??? My beardie was just making sweet, rough love to this hand towel and then this happened after what seemed to be a climax. There was actually blood left on his leg and the towel (along with what seemed to be sperm of a kind).
I have never noticed him doing anything like this before. His behavior has been a bit aggressive the last couple of days.

We have had him about 1 month.

The photo is of his left leg and tail. The red blotch came outside of his body and went back in after a moment but left blood on the towel and his leg.

Yeah he mated with the unlikely object of his desire [ poor guy ] and when you see blood it's because at times they accidentally clasp the hemi pene [ the "red thing" ] with their back claws. The males would clasp the females with their back legs when mating and it sometimes happens then as well. So it's likely that his nail snagged his hemi pene and caused the bleeding. He should be fine but might not be in the mood for a while now.
