I got a rescue on Friday...my first Male beardie ( well, baby Mickey might be, but too young to tell).
He just feels so different. I don't know if it is because of the way he was cared for, or if male beardies feel different then females.
Tega ( the male) is rough to the touch. Could be headed towards shedding, just not sure. Also, he is so darn thin! I pick him up ,and feel his ribs. When he pancakes, there is nothing but skin and bones.
I am doing baths every day for him, giving him much better food ( but for now, all he will eat are the pellets...no greens or crickets) hopefully his relocation stress will be over with soon and I can fatten him up!
Besides his head being different, and a thicker tale, shouldn't he look/feel like my female? Are males bodies that much different?
His diet before was iceberg lettuce, meal worms, and crickets in his tank. Bath once a week... *sigh* !
