Lump on left side of belly?

my 12 inch beardie has a lump on the left side of his body, in between his front and back leg. im not sure what exactly it is, but it feels hard and round-ish.

you can see where the bump is, he doesnt flinch or any pain related motion when i touch or press it, and he acts perfectly healthy, eating and pooping daily. YES, i have a UVB, and a backup just incase, the UVB im using now has been in use for 2 months exactly today, so that wouldnt be the problem. i noticed this bump after he pooped today, and it was before he was fed. about 2 weeks ago he had an impaction from a super worm, but he passed that 2 days later. i dont think its an impaction again, i have fed a few superworms today, they ARE the correct size for him to be able to digest them properly.
not to sound like an *****, but is their stomach on the left side? lol, because i notice the bump loosens up and gets smaller after he poops.

I honestly am not sure, but it sounds like a mild impaction. If he is less than 16 inches, you shouldn't feed ANY size superworms. The problem is that until that size, beardies have a kink in their digestive tract, which is why they get impacted somewhat easily. Based on scales and spikes, I would say your guy is more like in the 9-12 inch range, correct? What else are you feeding? What kind of UVB light are you using? What is your substrate (stuff at the bottom of your tank)? What are your temps?

he measures 12 inches from head to tip of tail, i cant exactly remember the brand of uvb but i believe its reptiglo 10.0, i use and will always use repti carpet, but im thinking of switching to tiles to help hold heat better.
basking spot is 110, warm side 95 and cool side 75. the only reason i feed him super worms at this size is because right now the only stock my petsmart has is super, meal, and waxworms -.- they do not have proper knowledge needed.

i also didnt know about the kink, i'll hold off on the worms but it will be hard as they are his favourite food. they are small and thin, and i cut them in half too, so they end up being smaller than the crickets i feed

If you have a ReptiGlo 10.0, you should get rid of it as soon as you can and get a ReptiSun 10.0. It and the Arcadia 12%(over in the UK) are the only two bulbs recommended. Make sure you get the tube, not the compact.

i'll have to check a few stores for reptisun, the reptiglo seems to be working perfectly fine as my beardie eats and poops just as one should, but i still will search for a new bulb.

In the short term a ReptiGlo won't hurt your beardie, but over time it will become apparent that is not sufficient. It's a shame that they have similar names and that there's such a wide disparity. I honestly would order it online. It will cost twice as much in a store.

Hello,

I would not feed superworms to a dragon under 16 or so inches. Their GI tract is sharply curved until they get older which makes them more prone to getting impactions.
You can also get the Reptisun 10 tube or the Arcadia D3 12% tube bulb from here & I know he ships to Canada.

i think his belly is full and he needs to poop, i have seen that in some of my dragons before. give him a warm bath and rub hibelly front to back near that bump while he is in the water...he should poop and the bump should go away

but he HAS pooped and the bump will still be there, possibly its an old poop that broke up and got stuck?

im not sure, i know there is a kink in there digestive system in that spot and sometimes when there young and the get really full there will be a bump there, but usually after they poop it goes away....but i think i remember my first dragon having the same thing and it didnt go away after he pooped like you said, but a few days later it was gone.. i would try to get him to poop again just to see if that works and if it does not go away soon then mabye take him to a vet and make sure its not a tumor or cyst.

Hello,

What substrate are you keeping him on, sand, paper towels, tiles?
Do you feel a lump on just one side, or on both sides? How low is the lump? It could be the kidneys but they should not really be easily palpatable or hard but should be uniform on each side.
They can go to the bathroom, even if they are impacted, but the stool may be reduced in size.

Let us know how he is doing.
