So everything else ok, just worried first time mom questions... Mort is sleeping a lot! Lazy in her old age. She'll be a year old in a few weeks, as far as I know.
So I say good morning to her and take her blanket off (we do lizard burrito at bedtime). She'll poke her head out and warm up a bit but not a lot. Usually I slide her out onto her basking rock with late morning petting. Around midday we have sunshine on the windowsill or my chest which she loves. She'll jump off when done, usually an hour and a half or so. Will run around the studio for 5-10 minutes, then find a cold corner to lie down. Nothing unusual.
But what is new is that that's really all her activity for the day. A lot more time napping! She has two shady areas in the viv - one on the cool side and one on the warm side, and uses them pretty equally.
So I'm assuming she's just growing up and settling down? Can I assume most of the day resting is okay?
Eating slowing too, but no issues there really other than trying to figure out when she's alert enough to eat with the new activity levels. I probably worry more than need be if she's not hungry. Still gaining weight but much more slowly. I figured if she was losing weight I'd really worry.
Gratuitous bathtime photo too. Happy orange beard.
